Will the smartside last as long as the panels? I guess you can side over the smartside down the road.

It should, and yes, you could sheath back over the top of it. That said, preventative maintenance on the caulking and paint for LP is important. As long as it's kept sealed properly, there should not be an issue. Great question. Thank you!

Could you make it with T-111 panels

Sorry, we missed this comment. T-111 wouldn't be recommended but LP SmartSide is an option.
