Couple questions: In the video you mentioned you have 6hrs useable pot life. On your site, it states a 4hr useable pot life. Have you changed the formula or made it hotter since posting this video? Which is correct? Second question kinda guess with the first.. How hot is this mixed? What's flash off time at what temp for these cans? I live in a hot humid area, so I have to mix accordingly. Curious question about this paint being 2k.. considering kick of time, temp etc. How long of a spray time before it cools the paint to much to be spayed without risking fogging up? One thing I liked that I saw was minimal overspray when you were spraying. Nice tight pattern without a ton of feather like you normally see from rattle cans. At least on my screen it looked good. Can the fan pattern be turned on the nozzle? What's the percentage of solids in your clear? Though I haven't yet, I really want to try one of these rattle can 2 parts so you'll have to pardon me for asking so many questions. I'd rather risk embarrassment asking questions than not ask and find out later after the coats been laid. Cheers...

Hi Chase - Great questions. The cans CAN last over 6 hours depending on temperature. For instance, you can keep them refrigerated after activating them, but we say 4 hours as a minimum safe period. It is a medium speed clear, with about 10-15 mins in between coats, a 4 hour handling time, and an 8 hour reassembly time. The cans come pre-filled with activator, so there is no way to alter the speed, and as we add our own high solids clear, it is difficult to know the final percentage, but it is high. The fan pattern can be turned 90 degrees, but not adjustable for width. I hope this helps, and if you need further tech info, please contact us at [e-mail]

I want to spray 3 coats of this clear over my 2010 camaro plastic engine cover. What do I need to do to prepare that surface? I don't want it peeling off. Thanks and great video

meddlingkid2 It's painted silver from the factory and the car is silver so it matches. Has a dull to satin finish and I want to clear it and make it glossy. I want 3 coats of clear but concerned about adhesion. Painters tape doesn't even want to stick to it.

ok - degrease with a solvent based degreaser like Prep All (you can find it at Autozone etc.) - give a good scuff with a light great scotch, making sure to get into all the tight nooks and crannies, then blow and wipe off all dust with a tack cloth, and hit with 3 wet coat of clear,, wait 24 hrs, and you'll be good. The paint may remain slightly soft for up to 72 hrs. depending on temp, so reinstall carefully! JJ

OHW Paint I have everything but the degreaser. Will rubbing alcohol work as a degreaser? Also if I decide to wet sand how long should I wait? 72 hrs? Thanks

Hi - you really need something stronger than rubbing alcohol for engine parts. You can wet sand after 24 hrs of spraying the clear JJ

What's this clear like when coming into contact with gasoline? Does it bubble or fog over?
