Michael was 11 years old when this song was recorded! You can tell how special his voice is on "Never Can Say Goodbye" also when he was just 11 years old. This was the first of 4 number 1 hits, and 2 #2 hits followed shortly after for the Jackson 5. Great memories.

The oldest is Jackie in the orange neck scarf, then there's Tito with the hat on playing guitar, Jermaine is the other singer with guitar, Marlon is the closest to Michael's age. I really don't know how old they were at the time. The girls are adorable!!

This was fantastic! I wish the video would've went a bit further. Ed Sullivan comes out and addresses Diana Ross, who is sitting in the audience. Ms. Ross stands up and they talk a bit about her discovering the Jacksons in Indiana. Sullivan gushes over "the little guy" singing. Iconic moments, indeed. :)

The one singing with the guitar is Jermaine. He had a solo career of his own. The other one singing is the oldest brother Jackie. All five from youngest to oldest are Michael, Marlon, Jermaine, Tito (playing the bass), and Jackie.

To tell my age, I remember watching the Jackson 5 every Sat morning in among the cartoons. The Osmond brothers also had a show and a similar sound, I watched them as well. My non-kid suggestion is Alice Cooper, Welcome to My Nightmare and School's Out are great beginning points.

The brothers were Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, and eventually the youngest which was Randy was in the Jackson's also. Once in a while Janet was brought in to sing and dance with them when she was little also.

The original brothers were: Jermaine (lead vocals & bass guitar) Jackie (vocals & percussion) Tito (vocals & lead guitar) Marlon (vocals & percussion) Michael (lead vocals, guitar & percussion) Age wise is was (oldest to youngest) Jackie Tito Jermaine Marlon Michael They were nominated for a Grammy for ABC in 1971 when Jackie was 20 and Michael was only 13. FYI - Janet was the baby of the family born when Michael was 8.

Michael couldn’t play the guitar, in fact he wasn’t a professional at any instruments (not saying that’s bad, or taking away from his greatness). Marlon played more instruments than him, which included saxophone, keyboard, and like you said percussion instruments. I read somewhere that read somewhere that he can play the guitar to but personally I haven’t seen him playing it on any their performances, could still be true though.

Had a 45 record of ABC that was pressed into the back of a cereal box. Cut it out and taped it to my pink turntable. It lasted for years. Music distribution methods have really changed since then.
