Who are we:
Scandinavians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison are highly regarded designers, textile artists and authors. They are best known for their craft books and their original, colourful and visually striking designs. Their work is highly influenced by their Scandinavian background and their everyday life in rural Norway. They work under their artist name ARNE & CARLOS, which they established in 2002.
We publish a weekly, new tutorial every Sunday on both our KZbin channel and our Facebook page. We hope you enjoy it!

Pillows have introduced me to Arne and Carlos. I had decided to redecorate by making new pillow covers and began knitting with some yarn I had on hand and my own designs. But now I see the beautiful Norwegian motifs that need to be added to my decorating scheme! And in the mean time, I am so happy to have met Arne and Carlos. Both of my Norwegian grandmothers whose hands were forever busy would be pleased.

I have loads of pillows and I love to make many different covers for them. I sew most of mine, but sometimes I also knit, crochet or embroider them. I have about 10 little pillows on my bed and 5 larger ones. The little ones I take off every night and put back on in the morning, after making my bed. Currently I also have 5 blankets on my bed. A sheet from India, 2 Patchwork-Qilts, another Cotton blanket with lilacs on it and a crochet blanket on top of them all. It gets so cold hear in germany in the winter and I live in a very old house. The more blankets and pillows and ruggs and throws, the better I love your guys`pillows and designs very much. Huggs, Christina

My favorites are the large pillow with the bouquet of pink flowers and dark green leaves, and the small pillow with the dark background and a mosaic of petal-like shapes. I prefer one or two pillows on the bed and sofa. Sometimes I'll put one in the car on the passenger side, since it's usually just me in the car. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow for Round Two of the Knit Along. And thank you again for surprising us with that wonderful news!

Hello Arne and Carlos two very special people. The pillows are just stunningly beautiful, I love all of them. I really enjoy knitting pillows or cushions as we call them in the U.K.. if I had to choose one my absolute favourite is the large field of flowers, what a beautiful gift to give to someone special. It is so nice to see you both, always my favourite time of Sunday evening when you both call in. Even more special at this time I’d social isolation. I think I prefer just a couple of beautiful pillows on the bed to really highlight the stunning patterns. Have a wonderful evening both of you, send you all my love and hugs. They can be knit in the round and steeked to make flat fabric, which is then sewn into a pillow cover. Power to the Steek!!

I love more pillows on daybeds that are meant to double as a couch and less pillows on my actual bed. This is a really good collection. I would use the pillow(s) on my couch so more people would see them!

More pillows we could never have enough of your designs. When I was growing up my mom made all kinds of pillows there were 21 pillows. My Dad was a steel worker and he worked 4 to 12 mid night . He would always rest for an hour before leaving . So I could curl up with him and sleep. Many times I would wake up and he would be gone. I was sleeping with the pillows. I was 3 years old till I was in First grade.

The mild inconvenience of moving pillows twice a day is worth it! Takes only a minute out of my day. I love pillow overload! edit: forgot to ask. I watched a tutorial on youtube last night and the instructor was using a Norwegian knitting thimble for colorwork. I've never seen one before. Have either of you ever used one?

I love pillows but my partner hates them! We have (only) a few on the sofas, and every time he sits or lays down he throws all the pillows on my side so that I get a comfy pile of pillows and he has none! :D No extra pillows on the bed either as we really do not have any place in the bedroom to put those when going to sleep. But, in the new house we will have an own box for the pillows beside the bed, it's already in the drawings! :)

Since you asked....I don't think you can have too many pillows, especially on a bed. I have 10 pillows on mine; I sleep with 4 of them, so have to take the rest off. That takes seconds to do. And in the morning, it takes just a few seconds to place them back on the bed. Easy peasy! Patty

More pillows! I have five large bed pillows on my bed with most having beautiful hand embroidered designs and colorful crochet edgings. I stack them fluffed and high because it makes me happy. It reminds me of the little story of the princess and the pea. Wonderful!

Beautiful new additions to your cushion range. I have your first ones in my to do pile. I love the field of flowers one in this new range, but hard for me to choose. Only like cushions on my sofa and chairs...too much hassle removing them at night from the bed.

I put 4 cushions on the bed when I change the sheets every Sunday. On Sunday evening, I throw them on the floor so I can sleep. They stay there until the following Sunday when I change the sheets and start the whole cycle again. So they are only actually on the bed for a few hours.
