Roscoe has such great proportions. He's a great pick. Especially today when so many breeders are producing overly squat Rotti's with almost bullmastiff type faces.

Docking a tail or clipping ears can get rid of a flaw in the tail or ears. How can you improve the breed when you are hiding flaws in potential breeding stock? BTW, I actually love the way a tail docked and ear clipped cao looks. But as far as show, animals should not be altered in anyway. They should be judged on what their DNA made them.

Watching this makes me want a Rottweiler. As for him liking snacks,well I do to. And as for him liking the ladies,,who can blame him? Also I suspect that helps you feel better about your wife's safety.For some reason I feel better about my wife's safety when our little dog is with her. He's not big enough to really stop anybody. But he's good about letting her know if somebody is getting close. And if need be maybe he could be enough distraction to buy a second or so.

Roscoe was only 8 weeks when I bought him home, I just did supervised play. My older dog is real chill. He was gentle with Roscoe but I never left them unsupervised til Roscoe was about 8 months. Don't teach him to sit especially with food , he'll sit when tired at show when they give snack to stand in position, not preferable,but he looks nice and needs some mass to complete him . Looking forward to seeing him in the shows ,all the best. P.s take him swimming and also running in shallow water lots ,builds really strong muscles ,but feed him accordingly ,he could look great

There would be additional benefits derived from working with someone that has experience handling and showing Rottweilers. Rottweilers have special handling needs and an experienced Rottweiler handler should be given some consideration.

Wow! Finally that I start to see good rottweilers again with no more flat faces like the ones that were winninng in the show ring, like those of Harrabous or carrabous rottweilers kennels, if i would be the judge in those events i would be the first one in discualifying those agly flat faces rottweilers, i would not be influenced by the influential breeders, i would not have mercy with them, and I would discualify them right away. Some times I think the show ring is a fraud when I see rottweilers with short flat faces winning the first place in show.

He is an absolutely beautiful dog but he does not have the dimensions of a show dog rottweiler. He is too long and tall and his underbelly is too high for a male. He has more of a doberman/corso type physique. All that being said he looks amazing I especially love his mahogany color.
@ab9354 жыл бұрын
Why not do something unique? I never heard of a rottie doing canine freestyle. If you have the patience a steppin routine with him would be show stopper.

Man I hope government officials don't start messing with our dogs. I love my Boxer's tiny tail and that Rotti is beautiful but don't tell me he doesn't loose some of his tough look etc. If some owners want the tail intact,fine but leave us dog owners that want the old (original) look be. MUCH RESPECT. Thank you.
@chiararosati21624 жыл бұрын
Have you ever seen a dog jumping? His tail Is moving everywhere, it's a part of their spine, It also takes and dissipates back tension and it's used in comunication. I don't care about ears or docked working dog that need it to be removed, like cattle dog, but if it's not necessary it is better to keep it. Also, my opinion, rottweiler's tail is so big and beautiful.

size means literally nothing for workability in dogs, "no offense bro". Oversized rottweilers or dogs of any breed are more prone to health issues, hip dysplasia, and early death. Not to mention breeding outside of standard is irresponsible for that reason. I'd like to see your 65 KILLO BEAST try and scale an ipo wall or jump a fence. People like you are the reason breed standards are mutilated. Sorry dude, but this dog is well within standard.
@OptimusPrime-dz9md4 жыл бұрын
He said the video before this one that rosco is about 50-52kg so his weight is normal. The reason he looks thin is because he is on the tallest end for his breed and is also a puppy and hasn't filled out fully. He will likely get to 55-60kg and I also agree with Red that 65kg Rottweiler is nothing to brag about. You likely have a fat dog because it is not the breed standard of 50-60kg for a male.
