Introducing SnapPlate Gen3 and OG Model S

Hey Gents - Scott M from the plant here (Decomm now). Looks like some really cool products you’ve come up with. As for new ideas, my wife’s 2018 Charger sure could use one of these. Hasn’t had a front plate since new, because I don’t wanna drill holes in the bumper. But I feel like it’s only a matter of time til we get a ticket too! Keep up the good work!

Kevin and Matt, the only suggestion i have is to continue to improve the quality of the material. I drive a lot on the Fwy and my existing base has pitted in several areas from rocks/debris that has hit it. The overall integrity is still there right. Its still holding on.As for the chips, we’ll you can’t really see them unless you un-snap it.

What material would you suggest we use? Rock pits happen to car bumpers and glass all the time, so that's certainly not an issue unique to SnapPlates and the materials we use. Our current solution is to sell replacement parts at a loss to current customers, so you can pick up a replacement Model 3 base for $15 if needed.

@@EveryAmp No, its not unique youre right. Maybe if the base was more solid. It seems to be somewhat hollow and thin but maybe thats inevitable since that how its made. If you saw my pics there are holes on the base. I do a lot of FWY driving though.

@@DSRTSLA I know this post is a few years old but I was thinking about it. You could wrap it in black electrical tape, which would help absorb the impacts and is easily be replaced, while blending in with the mount color.

are they sturdy enough to withstand an automatic car wash?

Touchless is fine, but there's too much risk of bumper damage in a touch wash. If that's a priority for you, the factory adhesive mount is the only safe option.
