it's only relatively recently they made a shortcut to eat snacks with the weapon wheel open. You used to have to open the character menu to do it

@@daddysempaichan if you are 'in cover' or running there isnt an animation when eating from the inventory. the weapon wheel way is way easier, though. knowing how to heal and put on armor makes heists so braindead easy, its great that they made it easier for people

There actually is official footage of Donkey Kong wielding a shotgun. It was from demo footage of DK64, and the gun was meant to be a placeholder. But it still managed to scare the hell out of Shigeru Miyamoto at first when the Rareware devs showed it to him. Luckily, Miyamoto took it in stride, and designed DK's coconut cannon on the spot for the devs to use in the shotgun's place for the final cut.

Yep, they've got those delivery robots at my school too. You order through an app and drop a pin on a map, and they deliver it to that spot. The app lets you know when it arrives, and you can press a button on your phone to unlock the hatch on the top. It's pretty cool, although it can take quite a bit longer to get to you than walking there yourself would. Helpful if it's raining, though, you can have it come right to your door.

This ep is basically 'Casual Danger Dialogue' in a nutshell. Bouphe trying to come up with a Star Trek plot while being sniped at the whole time, while being utterly relaxed, and doing parkour. Nerves of steel!

That episode at the end sounds a lot like the episode "Regeneration" of the Star Trek: Enterprise series. So it might have been intended as "the thing" but it's also a Star Trek episode.

I was in one of the neighborhoods they were testing the robots, In Huntington Beach California and they've already stopped beta testing them. They can't handle steps at all and that was causing people to come out with ps⁵ controllers to try to get them work manually but they never did properly. Similar to the delivery drones I don't think they're ever going to be fully rolled outat least not in all communities

I mean, they've only recently realized the beers and cigarettes they buy can be used for emotes during the lobby phase & victory screen, and that they're 1-time use items. It's one of the many Yogscast guarantees: the rules are made up, mechanics are forgotten, and Ben will die at least once

we have those robots on my campus, they can have remote overrides if they get stuck and controlled by some guy. they're also very annoying and constantly in the way. they're very bad at avoiding large crowds of people. the best thing I've ever seen about one of those robots is when it got hit by a train (fun fact: it was owned by the same people who did that massive train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio) that crosses through campus

The weird lizard sex episode of ST is one of the few I know of. That, and the one where two crew members get merged and there's a moral dilemma about letting the two stay "dead" so that the amalgam can live, or kill off the sentient combo that is capable of (and pleading for) living a life of its own. That one's a real neat thing that gets wrapped up about how you'd expect.

Early TNG probably isn't the best way to introduce someone to Star Trek. I'd start them off with some episodes of TOS that I like (Conscience of the King is a must), then do Wrath of Khan, then the few actually GOOD episodes on TNG's first two seasons/series (as a lot of them are awful), then go on from that.

How can you not love the episode "Threshold" where Tom Paris breaks the transwarp barrier and reaches warp 10. He is then everywhere and anywhere in the galaxy at the same time. However, it accelerates his evolution process. Eventually he kidnaps Janeway to convince her of the beauty of warp 10 and he goes to warp 10 again. They land on a planet, but because now both their evolution process are accelerated they start to adapt rapidly to the planet's environment. So when Voyager eventually finds them, they have gone through so many mutations that fishy salamanders is the state in which they are found.
