I just had my Sportiva delivered. It is a spectacular watch. I have flirted with buying a Heuer Monaco for years and when I saw the Sportiva I knew that was the ticket. Furthermore Kyle is hands-on with his customers and I have enjoyed several personal messages with him. The Sportiva is not an homage. In fact it is a superbly executed original design and the detailing of the face is so striking I keep taking it off to admire it.

Straton watches remind me of the 70s much more than the 80s. When I think of 80s watches, cheap LCD digitals and Swatches come to mind.

The square design of the watches, inspired by TVs, VCRs and cars from the era fits well within the early 80's for me, and I know this was Kyle's aim here. But Straton of course do plenty of straight up 70's inspired watches too. Regardless, cool watch 😀

I have the Volante in Brown / Offwhite. It has easily vaulted into my favorites. (Along with the automatic Speciale) I find myself wearing it more often than not. And the lume is fantastic. All night.
