Martin is a genius. All his designs sound great. Even the higher gain amps that aren't a flavor I'm looking for sound great. I love my DP40, but now I am really GASing for this one as this lower wattage is all I really need and that edge of breakup is just lovely!

I think this is absolutely the best release yet I have a sheriff 22, a sheriff 44, a sheriff 25 and I use the vintage channel on all three of them hardly ever using the high gain channel but I love them all no matter what and of course I love the DSV 40 which is my go to amplifier however, I think that is going to change when this one arrives. Thanks again for a great demo explanation and without a doubt the finest stamp you have produced yet are you going to put this out in a fully hand wired version, rather than just the PCB board version since it is a little more advanced almost as if it were a super lead in a sense without the game stages a lot of good blues, jazz and fusion in this amplifier. Actually like you DP I have been using the Friedman dirty Shirley for about seven years. I recently had the amp serviced but I will not lie. It has served me well it’s a solid amplifier and I have been considering upgrading, but I saw that this came out and I do like what you’ve done here. No doubt I have your version of the Duchess which I have used for a while now also Picked it up on the used market for a pretty good price. Either way it has been a wonderful amplifier. I want to know though is the bill quality of this amplifier at this price point the same build quality as that Friedman because I don’t think the Dutchess is quite the same quality as my Friedman, Bucks and Buddy and that’s why I stopped using it but overall I do think the victory sound is supreme better than the Friedman sometimes I just think Friedman has a better handle on their casing and durability and that’s my only concern. also, I bought the sheriff, and of course because of problems could not use the effect loop which did frustrate me greatly. I don’t want to make an investment again that’s going to cost me later thanks guys I appreciate your honesty. I love your sound and I’m willing to pay for the quality have one of the victory RK 50s which has done very well for me had it serviced recently as well. Curious to know more about this amp's effects loop. The loop on my Marshall SC20 head is awful, as it's noisy and it distorts effects easily, but the loop on the Friedman Dirty Shirley is powerful and amazing. I'm hoping the loop on the Deputy is more akin to that on the Friedman.

Will the deputy also be available in a V4 hybrid format as I run several hybrids off of my victory Duchess V 40 amplifier. The sheriff is one of them, but I would actually prefer to just be using the deputy with the Duchess however, I’m not sure the clean ground is fully covered and still would not want to let go of my victory Duchess and it is the DP 40 lol definitely love Pete’s choices And just was curious how long it might be before that is introduced thanks 11:19 11:22

Why add a reverb when there's an Fx Loop? If I can use in my favorite reverb in the fx loop, why do I have to pay for that extra? Victory, simplify things and create the same version without reverb, please! Best Regards

Sounds great! As all the amps do. I have the V30 MK2, the new Sheriff 25, The Copper V4 amp, Duchess V4 amp, plus the Kraken and sheriff preamps and 2 cabs. So might not buy this just yet :)

Is the voice switch smilar to Era switch of Tone King Royalist?

Voice 1 is the stock Deputy sound, position 2 gives a 6db boost in gain and position 3 keeps the gain boost but adds some more high frequencies. The Tone King's Era setting is not something we had in mind with our design. Thanks Victory

The amp is a master volume amplifier so you can turn the volume right down and still dial in clean or gain sounds. It should be fine to use for home use. Thanks Victory

Look I absolutely love Victory and I currently own 4 of their amps but the power tube choice in this amp is a turn off and a no for me at this time. EL86s?? Not EL84s but EL86s and there's no mention of this in the video anywhere nore is there a tone clip of this amp using EL84 as it seems it is changeable to 84s but no mention. I looked up EL86s to see about availability and other than a couple NOS listing NOTHING and don't say Victory has ten pallets to buy from cause that's not how I want to do business.

Try 6CW5 which is the American name. It's a weird choice: I suppose they'll say that they've gone for a vintage sound and there were plenty around in the 1960s....

I think Lee covers it in the Andertons demo but you can replace them with 84s, double check the bias (external test points) and off you go, so it's not too much of an issue. With new tube / valve production and costs these days, if manufacturers can manage to source a NOS stash then it can help with costs.

"wHy DoEsN't ThE aMp HaVe ReVeRb?" Because there's a 99% chance the reverb on my pedalboard is better than a digital or Accutronics spring unit any amp manufacturer will source. That's why. And the lack of a stock Reverb is actually something I *like* about the Sheriff!

@TheRealSolarflaresReturns Wow-- ok, I guess I have to admit this is actually a very good answer, and a very sophisticated use of the effect, to the point where I have to admit that my approach is... far less so... I used to use the stock amplifier reverb a lot when I was learning, but the lack of range meant it would get lost in my effects chain, so I eventually abandoned it in favor of the several reverbs on my pedalboard. The reverb on this amp is certainly put to good use in the video, so there is definitely some proof of concept! Thanks for the reply!
