Fantastic software, very easy to use and navigate. Has a very useful 3D rendering of your machined part which is great for picking up tool path issues.10/10

Deskproto is really great multi axix CAM software and affordable for hobbyist. I would love to see support for simultaneous milling coming in later versions.

Thanks for your positive comment ! Calculating toolpaths where all 4 axis move at the same time (or even all 5 axes) is much more complicated than the current algorithms can handle. So you wish is noted, do not expect this any soon though as this will require implementing completely new algorithms.

Hello buddy, it's nice to use DESKPROTO. I have a question to ask you. I use "Advanced Geometry" - "Two or Multiple Sides, Automatic Rotation" for double-sided carving of materials, and fix the materials with the A-axis. Now there is a problem with the alignment of the X-axis (left and right) on both sides. The A axis is parallel to the Y axis, and the X-axis error on both sides is 1-2mm. I have tried it three times and there is still an error. The default parameters used are MACH3 drive and 3040CNC machine. The rough and fine machining on both sides are fine, and the model file is also fine. However, there is only a 1-2mm difference between the left and right sides, and there is no deviation in the longitudinal direction. Have you encountered this problem? Thank you~

I like the software... one thing I could not find is about ATC.. I was trying to find the setup under machines and do not see anything for them (Carvera has a 6 tool rack)

Hi Randall, The Carvera is already present in the list of machines, as "Makera Carvera" (the alphabetical listing follows the manufacturer's name). In the machine definition (library of machines) you can see that the 'Number of tools' for this machine is 6. In the Makera postprocessor that is selected for this machine the correct toolchange command has been configured.

The answer has to be a no, sorry to disappoint you: rotary toolpaths by DeskProto use X, Z and A.

does deskproto 4 axis support the snapmaker machine?

The list of machines in DeskProto shows the 'Snapmaker 2.0 350'. I do not know if that has been tested with a rotation axis, however I do not expect any problems. When you have a different model Snapmaker see www.deskproto.com/support-tips-tricks/dp-tips-machine-not-listed.php. BTW 'kabouter' sounds very Dutch 🙂

It is impossible to rotate the block 360 degrees round the X-axis, as the block would collide with the working table. The problem might be that the X-axis is located outside your part: to solve this check the option Center Geometry, either on the wizard page or on Tab page Transform of the Part parameters. Other options to solve the problem include: - Scale down the size of the object, either on the wizard page or on Transform of the Part parameters. - Tab page - Change the definition of your machine in DeskProto (Distance to working table of machine). _________________ Sir how to solve this problem 😢 please help

The text that you post is a DeskProto error message, and it gives a number of suggestions how to solve the issue. So I do not understand what you ask: the message already describes how you can solve this problem. When you send us an email you can describe your problem in more detail, including some screenshots.
