Actual question... in Germany, we are allowed to drive vehicles up to 350kg (WITHOUT batteries or similar) on a bike license. So, how would this one work in that case?

@no1froggy typos happen to the best of us sometimes. :D But anyway, I'm not an eco-freak. I just know that fuel prices will rise higher and higher in my lifetime. An alternative is needed, and at the moment electric is the only practical solution I can see. There's hydrogen power, which is still in development. I guess with proper investment it could replace electric cars. I'm also pro nuclear yes. Modern nuke plants are far safer than the 30 year old plants in Fukushima, Japan

@Zamboro Im not anti technology, this is antiquated technology in different clothes, I remember 40 years ago milk floats ran on batteries & could do as many miles as these new fandangle things & that included running a fridge, despite of that they found it cheaper to go to diesel engines due to cheaper maintainence & running costs.

You know what guys ... i'ld like to see this mated to a kia sportage 1.6 turbo petrol engine pumping out 140 Bhp, an Awd system ... and some more safety, stability & power handling features ... ABS, EBD, ASC+T, ASR, TCS, HDC ... would be even greater if equipped with an A/C, keyless entry, push start button, power windows, a forward facing bench with 2 seat belts and a nice set of all season tires on handsome light alloy wheels ...

1. Looks better than other vehicles. Who does the Aixam brand mean anything to? They not only build really ugly moped cars that drive 50 kmh slowly, but are also expensive. Seriously, I'll buy one of those. There is the limo version The MEV HUMMER HX™ T Limo is it also available with doors?

@no1froggy Well first, we have the technology to produce all our energy needs from other sources than cola and gas. So no, we don't need to use fossil fuels to power electric cars. And second, what are you saying? We should just use up all the oil without having a backup plan when it all runs out (which will happen within the next 50 years).
