Were would you wear this piece in your system? I have the Apex hoodie Kelvin Vest and the Kelvin Hoodie that I wear together in cold weather. I hike up in Apex and vest then put on Kelvin Hoodie for sit. Temp around High teens to 30 degrees here in the east.

Most would replace the Apex with this new Ambient. But for colder hunts you could layer this piece over your Apex, and then put the Kelvin Hoody over that.

For the whitetail hunter, where does this piece fit if you already have a fanatic hoody? It feels like the fanatic would be side by side with this piece (ambient hoody) as a piece to go overtop of the lightweight base for the hike in and then layer over top. Any further thoughts?

Ambient will also go over the lightweight baselayer, but you could also put it over the Fanatic for extremely cold conditions.

Yes! Then Ambient is a great midlayer to go under the Stratus!

The Ambient can be used as a replacement layer for the fanatic hoody. This piece will breath better in high output situations.

sitka needs to bring back size small. I know Im only speaking for a few, but they've made their gear in that size for years so it feels like they're leaving out a segment of their customers.

This has kinda got me confused concerning the Aerolite and Ambient. What’s the difference?

Ambient is going to breath much more, allowing you to be more active in it. And the Aerolite is going to lock in heat better for static situations. Most would hike up to a glassing point in the Ambient, and put the Aerolite over the Ambient once they've reaching the glassing area to lock in that heat. We have a video better explaining active vs static insulations coming out very shortly. Stay tune!

@@coltonattrell2804 eastern Canada. Our moose is any were from freezing to 25°c and deer from - 20 to 10. Peices I already own are Base layer top and bottom in both light and heavy Apex hoody and pants Stratus bib Fanatic jacket. And I ended up going with the Jetstream in my most recent purchase instead of the ambiant or traverse hoody. Not sure if it was the right choice but seems like the best overall option. I think the ambiant would be to light and not enough of an outerlayer and thought the Travers would be to warm were I have the fanatic jacket that I've never been cold in.
