I was able to retrieve most of my gear, but because I died in Lava with a lot of my Shulkers on me, the items inside burned up, including my Netherite gear and other items that I had in them. So keep your Shulkers in Enderchests.

Im a MCPE fella. Though i have good armor. Im still terrified exploring the nether. The controls in PE isnt fit for exploring with elytra so i cant really explore far enough in the nether. I just do nether tunnels for linking portals. hopefully, i could have the courage to face these brutes. they're nasty!

Another way of opening chests and mining gilded blocks is building a "capsule" around you and cutting all direct vision onto you so you can open them and loot them without them getting angry

Piglin brutes attack players, wither skeletons, and withers within 16 blocks and are not distracted by golden items or blocks. In Peaceful difficulty in Bedrock Edition, piglin brutes do not attack the player, but still attack wolves, snow golems, and iron golems when provoked by them. And since Brutes are on the Hostile Mobs List, you will eventually have to kill at least one directly for the Advancement. Also highly

Pro Tip: I recently tranported a Brute using the nether roof, broke a couple of bedrock blocks then broke him out of the minecart and walked to 0,0, he followed. That way you save yourself placing the many stacks of rail needed. I set a lodestone at my destination, kept the associated compass in my hotbar, hit F5 twice to monitor the Brute and walked. The piglin never quite gets to hit you, he catches up and stops to swing, gets left behind and resumes the chase. Easy peasy.

The Piglin Brutes made raiding the bastions so difficult. People could just wear gold armor, block themselves in while opening a chest or mining gold and everything would be fine. Now that there are Brutes attacking, people have to defend themselves and get all Piglins angry!

Piglins aggro in a 16 block radius, and cannot chain-anger like zombie piglins. Thus, you can safely shoot a piglin brute from >16 blocks away. Pouring lava on them is another way to kill them without angering the normal piglins.

Hey Pixl, can you make a friendly brute by breaking his axe ? Its made out of gold so it should have small amount of durability.

No. I don't know if the axes break at all, but either way they're still coded to have a melee attack, so they will attack you like zombies do even if they aren't holding a weapon.

Despite it being made of Gold, it will lose no Durability splitting your skull. Only Crossbows on Piglins and Illagers will ever break. So any Item that you give a Mob does not need to have Unbreaking or Mending on it for it last almost indefinitely, unless it is damaged by other Mobs attacking their Armor, or the Sun burning Helmets off of them.

JAVA ONLY: To get around the gilded blackstone change, you can bring a piston to push the ore out of the way before placing your hopper. This is only really worth it if you’re in a very piglin populated area or trying to raid a bastion right at the start of the game, though.

don't know if this is true in java or not, but in bedrock, if you move nether gold ore around with a piston then piglins will still get mad at you. again this is with nether gold ore and not gilded blackstone so not sure if piston pushing will sork.

My trick is to tunnel through the bastions leaving only 1x1 window holes and building tunnels around me. I've been just opening chests and angering them, but they can't get to me and I just follow my tunnel back to outside the bastion. No way I can actually fight that guy!
