I was SUPER EXCITED to buy these recorders for my entire podcast team, but once I discovered that enabling 32-bit means MONO ONLY, they were no longer useful, as we produce theme park binaural audio recordings. Super disappointed! Will you be releasing a version in the future that records 32-bit STEREO audio???

Lithium AA batteries are significantly lighter than Akaline and the raw PR-2 only weighs 40 grams.

Dialogue is ALWAYS recorded in mono. Recording dialogue on a stereo track causes dialogue to get lost in the overall stereo mix which makes it muddy and drowned out by other sounds in the overall soundtrack.

@@seancollett6 Do you even understand how awesome binaural audio is, or what a 32bit stereo recorder this size could've enabled? Not to mention the types of stereo accessory microphones Deity could've sold that could've each incentivized someone to buy another one of these recorders to run in parallel? Don't forget about the redundancy aspects either. The final mix isn't the recording techniques.

@@mistercohaagen I am referring to the recording DIALOGUE. Dialogue and most Foley is recorded in mono. Again, the reason for this is to separate the dialogue and Foley from the stereo field. If you record dialogue in stereo (I've seen students make this mistake) whatever is being said will sound muddy and can get buried in the final soundtrack. However, those students who did make this mistake, I was able to help fix it with relative ease. Just sum the stereo dialogue to mono and mix it that way. Anything I need for the stereo field (ambient sounds, room tone and various elements of layered sound effects) I record in stereo with a proper field mixer and shotgun mic. If you want you can always duel mono your dialogue track but that is also going to produce poor sounding dialogue unless used as some sort of unnatural effect.

Thanks for being an OG support. I have 1 on my desk still, and Allen Williams has the other one. Sadly the supplier for the capsules just couldn't make them reliably enough that they were consistent. So rather than release a a spotty item, we internally cancelled it.

I LOVE the idea of this for field recording and a dedicated small PiP/3.5mm only (no internal mics on board) recorder is something absolutely missing from other options out there. My only quibble would be that most field recordists record at 96k and above. Is this something that could be added in the future or is it a hardware limitation? If so, would a recorder only option be on the cards? I can say for certain that there's a market to tap into here with field recordists and a competitor to the Zoom F3. No diss, great product Deity!

Is your app universally designed so that users of assistive technology can deploy it without breaking our systems? Are the controls on the unit touch controls or physical buttons? This is what I hope for in any pocket recorder but only find in one consumer product which has inferior preamps. Like anyone else, I would love equitable access to industry-standard gear without having to compromise on quality, efficiency of use and personal independence.

I can't speak to the assistive technology because I'm not too familiar with it. That said, our app is free and has a demo mode that allows you to see how everything works without needing purchase any gear. The PR-2 itself uses a rotatory knob for navigating the menu and you push down to select. The power button on the side also acts as the back key.

Shame on you Diety for showing a single woman at the gym with a smartphone tripod set. Unless that gym is private it gives your buyers the idea that they can record their workouts publicly. You need property permits and permisssion from members. People go to membership gyms and think they can just set up a smartphone on a tripod and record what they want. Not true. Also, if you are claiming "professional use" then put professionals in the shot. Is this a solo model shoot with just the model? How can she focus on the exercise, camera angle, and sound direction all at the same time. This is an unrealistic trick to get consumers to buy upscale. It insults the professionals. Next shot should be the bathroom mirror selfie.

It literally is a private gym. This is not a gym open to the public. Its only available solely for video shoots. There are a lot of these types of gyms on Peerspace for people to shoot in. That's why there is absolutely no one else in the scene. Infact, I myself go to a gym here in Los Angeles that has a separate room just for gym influencers to shoot in just like what we show in this video. These people inspire others to live their healthiest life. ~ Andrew
