It's a lot less work to change your active pickups to passive pickups than the opposite, if it's such a massive problem, swap them out.

@@skatterpro mostly not pickups but preamp, whatever, in Ibanez SR basses only thing you have to do is tie two wires together and preamp is disabled :D

! Seems there is a problem with the design. Check out 1:13. Unless you have tiny hands, we're crashing against the knobs when playing on the last two strings. I have a bass with knobs placed just like this and it's useless for pick style because of that.
