Is refreshing to see something affordable but I can't say the design, style and aesthetics are the aligned entirely with the Armoury. Is like seeing wearing a Balenciaga t shirt with a Ring jacket.

I like Unimatic's design sense but you're right, it's not the first thing you would imagine with classic tailored clothing. I think the Modello Cinque (smaller, 36mm) works well for The Armoury hence we did the Blu Notte. As for the rest of their collection, I think it works better with our very casual offerings. They're worth seeing as the shape and surface finishes are very satisfying in the metal. - Mark

@@TheArmourytv super star strucked with your kind response. Although I haven't had the privilege lately to visit your stores (I had been to HK when it first opened and your lovely Tribeca store), at least for untrained eyes and basic taste what you/the rest of the Armoury see as "casual" is not exactly "casual" in normal people point of view. I see Unimatic as a great brand where is a T shirt (maybe Merz B Schwanen max) and jeans kinda look, say your new balance or perhaps Airmax kinda aesthetic, pretty much a cool dad look where you will find in hype pubs who serves craft beers and perhaps some exotic gins. I would see your type of "causal" as suited more for Junghan Max Bill, Nautilus, vintage explorer , etc. Is not quirky enough to be MB&F, is not basic enough to be Junghan, is a bit more modern minimalist contemporary which I think fits more with urban/extremely good quality/intellectual "work wear".

Wouldn't have had Unimatic's minimalist industrial designs to collab with The Armoury's more classically dressy aesthetic on my bingo card this year, but that is a pretty good watch.

Thanks! I like Unimatic's designs in general but it's not always suitable for how I dress - hence the Blu Notte was born! I do think their Modello Cinque (the smaller 36mm case) is suitable for a lot of smart-casual use. Hopefully they release more version of it in future! - Mark
