He got it in Oct., 2011 and everything was running great in Ontario until I moved to Edmonton, AB last Nov. 7th 2021 and during Christmas the air dropped to -35 and -42. After 10 years and 2 months the Charge Port broke down and it did not charge right. The 12 volt battery that runs all the electric inside froze and had to be replaced. Now I can get a full charge at 50 km ( before it was 45 ) and in Sport Mode my late dad had it going 148 km on the highway. Everything else is running good so far at just over 168,000 km in 10 years 9 months.

I didnt realize those are that slow. Chevy Bolt's are like lighting fast compared to Gen 1 Volts then.
@houseofno4 жыл бұрын
Chevy Bolts and Chevy Volts are NOT the same car. Look it up. A Volt is a gas-electric hybrid. A Bolt is a purely electric plugin city car. Not at all a valid comparison.
@RazoE4 жыл бұрын
@@houseofno I don't think he's saying the Volt and Bolt are the same, he's saying Bolts are quicker than 1st generation Volts.

Gen1 Volts hide it pretty well though with their quicker 0-30 torque.

@watchjrgo I am going to get one of these for my commute up i70 daily. I've got a 2015 Fiesta St FOR SALE (DENVER) in the impossible to find st3 package, so heated recaros, Sony 500 watt system and synch Touchscreen... it's also the highest mileage one for sale on the internet when I go to post it, let me know if you're interested. I hit up hoovie too. 98k miles and engine not messed with, drop in panel and catback only, does come with parts I never put on though

When I saw "fastest" I thought you'd be taking weight out (back seat, etc.), tuning the suspension to take higher speeds, maybe upgrading something. Still cool a stock Volt hits 123. I love my 2nd gen Volt.
@Clapxiomatic4 жыл бұрын
A volt can actually do 148 MPH. And thats only a gen 1, a gen 2 with the same ECU tweaks would be capable of 150+. instagram.com/p/Bm6-Xb5l-S9/?fbclid=IwAR0xDul7adb0JL2-7M7vu6ef3iFz26Rh9ZIrkY1Fgnwe5ILF_cUfZXNz8AU

Toss out that guy in the passenger seat and the seats and empty gas tank you may get better results. My 2014 Volt (134K mi.) has been great to me as well. Replaced 12V battery and both front axels. I also am quite fond of my Cadillac ELR.

Wonder how much more you could get out of my dad's 2016 Volt. That thing pulls like a freight train until about 65, at which point the torque is gone. Motor Trend says the stock one will do 0-60 in 7.1
