6:00 Smell is the strongest of all. This is very, very true. During my time in chemo, I always began feeling a lot more nausea around the time hospital lunch came by (The smell does not help at all) And with time, I cannot go around a hospital and just meet the food cart around me, just the smell triggers the memories from chemo so badly that I have to get to the nearest bathroom. Several times I have had to use the Women's bathroom because men's was full... Eventually, it has passed and now I kinda tolerate it, but I gotta use something to distract me. For this I use a cologne that my father always used, brings very fond memories of him

God, the group date bit brought back some memories. When I was in high school, there was a group of people who were group dating. I believe it was three guys and two girls who would take turns being couples. And not like in a monthly or weekly thing. Every other day, the girls would switch partners. Apparently, they would go on dates and such and even have group sessions together. I remember their hang out spot in the mornings was near the band hall. I always wondered how their arangment started.

A smell that realy make nostalgia kick in for me is locker rooms, i played hockey for 11 years from 7 to 19 so pretty much my whole childhood so that potent amoniak smell of layers upon layer of sweat is a strong nostalgic kick

Once I was met by the smell of a really ripe, sweet banana at work and I just relived a whole day of preschool. I remembered friends' faces, names and stuff I was wearing, like a yellow rain coat. I wonder if this is one of those things like aphantasia where it’s just something some people don’t have the faculty for but it’s hard to even realise you have it, let alone diagnose it. Regarding the scent talk, I can confirm Rythian's claim. A couple of years ago I was in my house and suddenly a smell comes through the window that immediately took me almost 20 years into the past. It turns out that someone was spraying the neighborhood against mosquitoes and that product was what caused the Flashback.
