From what you say, a "Bergfried" is "Belfry" in English, "Beffroi" in French, both of those coming from the Proto-Germanic. That city looks really good, however innacurate it is. Danke schön for sharing. :-)

Thanks for the input! I just looked it up, and it seems like "belfry" intially would have been the correct word, but by now it's meenig has shifted towards it being a bell tower, and I'm not planning to include a bell in my Bergfried. But thats just my nooby hobby research, is english your mother tongue, or do you have any better sources, than I had?

@@TheAuleBlocksmith , I'm French... belfry/beffroi now often have bells, in northern France and Belgium, it's even usually carillons, but, during the Middle Ages, and even during hte Renaissance, they were built by burghers, as counter power to the Church, showing the wealth of the town, as well as watch tower, especially fire lookout. Bells may have been there at the time, but mostly for alarm. In a medieval town, i wouldn't expect more than potentially one bell for alarm... at most.

The village looks unique by itself already, but I really like your approach to the roads and rocks! You don't see those techniques often.
