It's disappointing and baffling that Lennox would drop HomeKit support in the S40. Our S30 (which has HomeKit integration) needs to be replaced. Why is Lennox taking a step backward by dropping HomeKit support in the S40?

Closed ecosystem. They are here to take your money, not to give you a good service, you are already locked in. The same applies to me. We pay very high price of infinitely inferior product.

Meh. Ecobee with Airthings or Amazon Air Quality monitor can do this with triggers. If the quality of the air in my home is fair per airthings, Alex triggers the ecobee to run the fan. My HVAC is connected to my Healthy Climate HRV so out goes the garbage air, and in comes the outdoor air through a MERV 16 charcoal filter. The only thing I don't like is the Amazon devices only work with Alexa. I didn't do the S40 with the air quality monitor in my home, although I have a humidifier and HRV, due to cost. The HRV alone was almost $4k.

@@jamesmcmahonii8433 The problem is that those devices can only work with single and two stages HVACs, with the variable speed/power HVAC they can't do a thing.

@VolodymyrBurenin that's fair. My HVAC is not variable speed but my HRV is (low or high). Since the HVAC is connected to the HRV I don't need anything fancier than on/off for the fan. Other than connecting all of the systems together in a single panel, the S40 wasn't worth the expense. The ecobee and airthings together was $500. The S40 install was $3k. When the HVAC kicks the bucket and we consider a smarter until, then we decided to revisit the S40 or whatever it maybe in the future.

I got sucked imto needing to replace the flawed s30 with the s40…lost homekit, now need to carry two separate apps and the s40 screen is much harder to read.

Is the S40 HomeKit compatible like the S30?

I had the same question. After reviewing the User Guide and materials on Lennox's website, it appears that the S40 does not support HomeKit. I called Lennox and spoke with a customer service rep who confirmed this. The S40 does support the independent Lennox app and has Amazon Alexa and Google Home integration. It's disappointing that Lennox has left Apple HomeKit users out.

yeah, but it only does all the fancy stuff if you have all the peripherals they'll sell you, and the price is astronomical

No support for ventilation output signal or control, used to be controlled from S30 smart hub, how? If air quality is the main focus of S40s features, how did yall forget about ventilation?

Since 2015’s release of the S30; you’ve somehow managed to make very little improvement whatsoever with this S40. Do you read your reviews?? It’s rated 2-stars after 14 reviews on your own website. Everyone hates it. Do better! No homekit integration like the S30 had. Still has tactile issues. Still complicated. Still annoying. If I didn’t have a modulating furnace, I’d have left this ecosystem a decade ago.
