the biggest flaw with asana is that you cannot have all your tasks from different workspaces displayed in one list.
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
Yeah, this is a pain if you work in multiple workspaces.

Paul, this is such a helpful video as an intro. Would it be a good app to use for an individual/alone work? If not, what would you suggest. Thanks. Jeff
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeffrey. Yes, I used Asana as an individual for years before expanding my team.

Hi Paul, I'm an experienced Asana user. What videos do you recommend for those who are not beginner level?

Hi Paul-Is it possible to baseline a schedule in Asana? If not, how do you keep up with planned vs actual start and end dates for tasks? Thx!
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
I'm afraid you can't establish a baseline in Asana. But this is something you can do with Instagantt. That way you can compare your actual timeline back to the baseline.

Hi Paul, Thank you for the simple videos. I do have a question on something I am struggling with on my Asana. How can I keep confidentiality between team members on tasks. Is there a way I can have a few of my team see some tasks (eg financials) while others don’t see it.
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
Hi Samisha, you can make a project private so only members of the project can see tasks in the project. If a user is not in the private project but you assign them a task or add them as collaborator, this means they'll only see that one task but not the rest of the project. Within the task itself, you can't hide certain information I'm afraid. A user can either see the task and all the details or not at all. Hope that helps.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the great content. Is it possible to have an hourly rate per person/ role in Asana so that we could calculate the hours and cost per person or task/project? I do not need an invoice but how many hours and how much has been spent on each task/project
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
This isn't possible natively. But if you connect Harvest, you can set up each users hourly rate and cost. Then if they track their time you can measure your costs.

Hi Paul, do you know whether it’s possible to nest projects into one file on the side where “projects” lie? Rather than having numerous projects out on the side?
@DaveSaysYesh Жыл бұрын
That would be good, list of projects gets looong, can archive the completed/ unneeded ones at least
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
You can sort of achieve this using Teams. Each team is a folder for projects.

@@minor-co thanks for your response Paul. I’m also in the process of trying to convince my bosses to upgrade to Asana Business. Do you mind helping me by explaining how this can greatly benefit in terms of project management?
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
I would start by explaining how Portfolios will give your boss a clear high-level view of where each project is at and how much work is left. This is a great way to get management on board.

Would you use asana for the GTD methodology?
@minor-co Жыл бұрын
Yes, you could absolutely use Asana for GTD and have tags for different contexts e.g. errands

Great video but it's hard to keep up because you are talking too fast and it doesn't give us time to set up the project for practice.
