Some of our children have self regulation problems (FASD) and "time in" is a great way to build a secure bond. It is important to be open to attachment practices across cultures and sharing our participant's experiences. Many of our parents have experienced trauma that they have not had the opportunity to get the help and they need role modelling and specific skills to give them the tools on how to overcome their internal anxieties (dealing with their shark music) and impact on their mental health.

Im healing from intergenerational trauma and wasnt given what I needed but was given the tools to hate. I could not parent my children and have no relationship with them today

Love the “time in”. “We don’t send toddlers off with a roll of toilet paper to toilet train themselves. So why are we sending them off to be by themselves and learn to organize their feelings?”

has anyone else wondered if volunteering at your child's school to help with her separation anxiety is really a solution that's in line with the circle of security model? was that really the most effective way to help the child, or was that helping the parent? genuine questions here. no judgement.

I really like this Parenting model. How do we get our hands on this program. Can we self train to offer this program?

I'm actually looking for something for my daughter... She's pregnant with her 3rd, first 2 not with her. Any classes? Bootcamp maybe?

read "raising a secure child". take time to digest it. and then talk to your daughter about it. there's a lot more to it than this video.

How can you incorporate a "time in" when your child hits or kicks another person, or a much younger sibling? Sometimes it's out of spite or anger. I understand the time in to help him regulate his emotions, but I want to correct the behaviour that it is never ok in our home to punch, hit or kick someone.

I give my child a warning before playtime about a time out if he acts out physically, and I follow through with that time out for 2 minutes (he's 3 years of age). Other than that, I believe we have a healthy attachment.

just saying, the presenter never thanked the woman who introduced her for helping with her tech needs.
