I have had my Maker approx a month and have only cut out the little flower project that came in the box. I wanted to watch a bunch of videos on design space before I really attempted something. I just got my Cricut Explore Air 2 and have watched a lot of videos, most of which make a lot of assumptions about what the viewer already knows. I’ve been watching tutorials for nearly a year, whilst my Cricut sits on my Dining Room table taunting me daily. 🤪🔫 I’m very tech challenged. So DS has been my biggest fear. But your video hands down, has been THE MOST helpful of all!! I really appreciate your focus on the software and the fact that you don’t assume we already know how to do these things. Thank you for not only taking the time to teach us. But for giving me so much more confidence than I had prior to watching you. I’m definitely subscribing; as I love the way you teach/explain things. Lastly, I do have one question- Once downloading system/Cricut fonts, am I able to view them all somewhere?.... I’ve tried looking for them everywhere (including uploads). But can’t find them. So I’ve just been saving random words by the font name. That way I’m able to remember/view which ones I really liked. Any advice/recommendations on this would be much appreciated. Thank you again.

I had trouble getting started with the free version. I think the issue it had to confirm email first. But then I found the UI confusing then had to figure out how to upload a graphic and move it to the canvas. The project is strange because it goes to things they are selling. I think I have some basics figured out. Will try figure more out later. Thanks for your video!

Great intro to the software, Becky--thank you! My machine is on the way. EEP!!! I was really torn between this machine and the Cameo 4 --I have a fair understanding of Adobe Illustrator (self-taught) and worried that maybe Cameo 4 would have been easier for me, software wise. . . This machine "seems" like it's quieter than the Cameo 4 (just based on KZbin videos I've seen thus far)--do you find that to be the case?

Hey Julie! Yes, the Cricut machines are definitely quieter than the Silhouette machines. If you have prior knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, then you shouldn't have the same limitations as beginner Cricut users because you can use AI to create your files instead of Design Space. I don't think you will regret your choice, Cricut makes great machines! ---Becky

Thanks for this, great info. What I want to know is how to move around the canvas! When I use the sliders at the bottom left and top right, it all moves way too fast then I can’t find my image. I then end up zooming in and out until I find stuff again. There must be an easier way to navigate around the screen 😜A video on that would be awesome.
