Hi, I am new to my Cricut Maker and would like to use it for bag making, cutting out the pattern and cutting materials. Do you have any tutorial on this, one thing I am struggling with is how to remove the 1” square, so it gets cut out every time. Also arranging pattern pieces on the Design space. One other thing is how do i get the cricut to draw the zipper area rather than cutting it out😮. Thank Yoy

Do you have a video on using purchased svg files, merging 2 onto your design space and how can I get cricket to open svgs that were saved from another program like Silhouette, saved as a svg file not a Silhouette file extension. Thanks! Love your teaching!

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I have not use silhouette so I’m not sure what formats your image saves in but if you want upload it to DS you may need to change the format first. @@littlecraftnest silhouette has their own file extension and the option to save as svg or png….i save as svg. When I open in DS it’s distorted. I’m having trouble using my new Maker ( which I bought thinking it would be easier to send directly to the cutter) but I’m not having much luck using my own purchased files. I do a lot of shirts and I can’t get my files into DS. It’s easy if you use their images but I need to use ones I have. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@otterfan5518 I have not problem uploading outside images. If they are distorted when they are uploaded you may need to contact the designer of the file.

If you’re doing print then cut you can make your fronts any colour. If you are wanting your Cricut to draw out your letters with pens - it will draw the outside only. Loved your video going back through and watching them all. No one can answer my question??? I am a cricut acess member i am using on of there files. Added to my canvas edit it to my liking very simple. Whie lettering instead of 3 layers. Go to make it nothing shows up. I did change my mat color so i can see the white lettering. What have I done that my project does not come over. I am using print &cut instead of basic cute. Please help.

Are you trying to print your design out with your printer? If you have white lettering you will not be able to print it as most printers do not have white ink. If you just want it cut it, it needs to be set to basic cut. I hope that helps - it’s hard to provide instruction when you can’t see someone’s screen. I hope you can figure it out.

Hello. I've used cricut for years. Right now I have a cricut maker 3. I am trying to make price tags where I make the design and upload it to design space. No mater what I do I can't get it to cut what I printed. I'm sure it's something simple but I've missed it. Where can I go to get help?

Are you trying to do ‘print then cut’ or just cut? What type of file are you uploading a SVG or PNG?

Please help. Every time I make a card using cricut access when I go to cut the card out. It always cut the whole of front of the card out just leaving me either the back of the card.

Hi I have all sort of Cricut joy pens but when I go use them, most smear off on the vynil I have. Does the vynil have to state “writable” ? I’m suspecting the answer is yes. Why are there so many pens if one can only use them on black or white vynil?

Are you on a desk top computer or are you using an iPad? The iPad view will look different than desktop.

I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial. For stickers you can use just a regular colour ink jet printer. I personally use an Epson Eco Tank but whatever printer you have should work just fine. What type of laptop do you have? If it’s a Chromebook it will not be compatible. If you’re using a PC or a Mac try restarting your computer and trying again. If you’re still not having any luck call Cricut support and they will walk you through it.

I have a question. I bought a care card png from Etsy to be able to print & cut. But when I bring it into CIRCUT it wants to remove the background and then it’s all missed up. How do I get pass this? Thanks

If the file does not have a background there is no need to remove it. If you’re having upload issues with the file I would suggest to contact the creator of the file.
