At 19 min while extracting states, as we got to know the length we can easily use a case statement with left and right trims to get the states. WE can also use split function right ?The shown method is quite complex. Can we not do it just like we do in SQL?

can power bi dax hlep me in comparing two months' payroll by highlighting difference of various salary components i.e. basic, house rent, utilities etc for employees only who had different payments in both months?

I would think that the expression here is a bit like regular expression in python, adding -1 at the end of the expression would mean that the search starts from the end instead of point 1, but it looks like it is different with DAX
