Actually I am working with open source software called Discourse. In my search queries Discourse Analysis came up again and again so I got curious lol. Your video helped me a lot to understand this. Thanks! And actually I discovered that there is a relationship between forum software and DA. DA can bring more clarity to the changes I make to this software. And actually the structure of this software defines the structure of the discourse online somehow.

It depends on what point of view do you want to use to analyze the discourse. If you know that, you can see the relation. For example, if you want to see the discourse of culture, you can see the culture within the language use by analyzing the word choices.

Text refers to a written form while speaker is person who speaks. Narrator is the one who has written a text But you have used theses terms interchangeably it creates an ambiguity
