Hello everyone! I originally was not going to make an updated version of this video since EXO would be entering their enlistment period this year. However, I noticed that there are still some KZbinrs who react to these introduction videos and many people are joining the EXO-L fandom even today! EXO is really amazing. So I wanted to help by making a new introduction video that includes all the craziness that went down in 2019 and 2020. And here it is!
Also lol, last introduction video I made was 2 years ago and I put the members' superpowers in it. Many people in the comments were really confused about it so this time I shoved them in the corners of the video like a little secret. Ask about it only if you're really curious~

@@abanana8313 they debuted as 12 EXO K and EXO M. Lay, Chen and Xiumin were in M along with former members Kris, Tao and Lu Han. The other 6 were EXO K. They are now ot9 but Lay is inactive due to Activites in China

more info about chen's (kim jongdae) personality since this video sadly doesn't mention a lot of it - jongdae is really joyful, it's like the simplest things make him happy and he laughs really easily - he's really supportive of his friends and makes sure they know they're appreciated, when his friend im hanbyul guested on his variety show sim4u (which you should check out) and uncertainly said "if chen wants me to guest in season 2" jongdae didn't even let him finish he immedietly took his hand and told him he WILL be in season 2 :( - jongdae is really well-spoken and wise, he always knows what to say in every situation. when a fan talked to him about her personal problems and went "everything i do is always wrong" he replied "us too, us too. but they don't change even if we react, it's like a fire - if we try to do something about it it just gets bigger. you can only get stronger from here. do whatever makes you happy, don't mind what other people say. us entertainers too can't get better if we get scared of the bad things people say about us. instead if we focus on what we're good at and feel happiness from it, we won't even see the haters." in a radio show he talked about how he's dealing with others who have different views than him, he doesn't think "why are they like this?" but rather remember that they've grown up in a completely different way than him, their life/perspective is different than his, to think "why are they like this?" means he's trying to force them into his own standards, which is why he's now accepting the person for who they are and moves on, he also doesn't hold grudges saying "I think the word 'understanding' itself means to not have any grudges" - overall, jongdae is a really comforting presence. at his fanmeeting for his second mini album he held a ment saying "If everyone were to receive love from someone, and give love to someone else, wouldn't we all become a source of comfort for each other?", he also wrote EXO's song lights out to comfort fans and picked it as his solo stage in 2019 at exo's concert bc he wanted to let fans hear the message of the song again :( - jongdae is really, really, REALLY passionate and is a perfectionist when it comes to music, he'd record every song multiple times even when the producers are already satisfied with the results, when he recorded a song with ailee he did his part but came back a few days later because he felt like he didn't do well enough and felt sorry for ailee. Jongdae is also the only member of EXO who has never ventured into acting - Jongdae himself said he won't try anything else until he has mastered singing - Jongdae has a really kind heart, people who've known him for years as well as people who have just met him gush about his kindness all the time, he's always seen with a smile on his face, is caring and supportive of others and he's everyone's tiny hypeman who's always ready to support - jongdae is really humble, even though he's considered to be one of the best vocalists kpop has ever seen, he's rather shy everytime he gets praised, in 2017 when he was asked if he sees himself as one of the best vocalists in the industry he said yes but only bc he understood the question wrong and thought they asked if he saw himself as the best vocalist in exo, when they explained the question again he even wanted to take his answer back Jongdae also went on a busking tour in sim4u and thought only 10 people would turn up on his buskings - every single location ended up being filled to the brim - Jongdae is like a grandpa, he loves oversized clothes, is wise beyond his age and literally has no clue how technology works - he doesn't trust online banking, when he had to download a program to open a file on his computer and it didn't work out he just gave up on having that backup on his computer, at a fansign he said "everyone... I am really bad at technology, for internet.. what people do in 10 minutes takes me an hour", and he even talks of himself like a grandpa he's TWENTY-SEVEN years old but says "when i was in my twenties..." - he has a sassy side, he tends to be really blunt and delivers his lines in a serious way - he's tiny (compared to EXO's skyscraper line) but he's always ready to kick ass, he won't take shit from anyone and we love him for it - he's musically gifted.. Jongdae has written a lot of EXO's songs (lights out, she's dreaming, touch it) as well as his own (flower and my dear) and his lyrics are honestly poetic, for flower the idea came in a dream like??? Jongdae also plays the piano and has a dream to compose his own song someday - he's really good with children, I recommend watching him and xiumin's appearance on superman returns Jongdae takes care of his friend's babies and at weddings he's often seen walking around with children as well :( he must be so happy to be a father now If you made it till here I applaud you :) I hope I helped you to get to know Jongdae a bit better, he's a really gentle and passionate soul and deserves the world truly

@@Zuhraia exo has 9 members in total but currently 3 are enlisted and Lay is in China working nonstop if you keep up with his solo schedule. So currently only 5 members are active but no plans for group songs :/ only solo work or subunits.

I discovered EXO in my early 30's. I've been a fan for over 3 years now... But I like watching these sometimes just to refresh. When I first became interested Chanyeol and Lay were the two people who always caught my attention. Watching this today was the exact same. They are magnetic. A few months in I was all about Kyungsoo... like ADDICTED... 'he was like a drug to me' lol... BUT THEN at some point... The biggest weirdo of them all... that I was completely put off of in the beginning... somehow snuck his way in and stole my heart. There is no getting it back! Baekhyun has not only become my EXO bias... He has literally become my favorite voice in the world... He has beat out Sam Smith, Harry Styles, and maybe even Marc Anthony. I've been to a Super M concert so I got to see my ULT preform live... But I really hope that some day I will see OT9 on stage together.

to live in the same time as EXO is just a blessing, i know EXO since their pre debut teaser days and became an “EXOtic” because of Growl and know i’m an EXO-L for 7 years. It’s so marvellous to see their evolution, they have developed and matured so much as a person and as an idol, like it’s crazy they literally grew up right in front of us. They are one of the BIGGEST because of their hardwork and dedication, they’re one of the most inspirational groups in entire kpop. What's HORRIBLY GREAT about becoming an EXO-L is that you always keep learning new reasons to fall in love with them. Not a one-time job, not some passing hobby, but a lifetime engagement. Because eventually, you learn to love awesome individuals without expecting anything in return; you just grow fond of them; get angry at them for distracting you at 3 am when you're supposed to be working; have your heart skip a beat when you see them after a while or when they're on stage... But, most importantly, you feel hopeful because you live their story as idols and grow prouder with their every success to the point where you tell yourself that you can make it too... Or maybe I'm just in too deep, after all >

hey OP great video but no offense, you only included the bare minimum about chen........there was only one general thing about his personality and no other “fun” or “quirky” facts about him, which is kinda disappointing. i hope next time you will do a little more research about our exo member. for people who are curious about exo, let me tell you some fun facts about chen: 1. he knows how to play the piano and has a great hand posture (those who know piano will understand what i mean) 2. he, along with baekhyun, had the shortest trainee period before debuting as exo. but he actually technically debuted as an artist BEFORE exo; at the 2011 SBS Gayo Daejeon, he sang for an SM stage 3. he went viral multiple times for his resemblance to tadashi from big hero 9 (movie) 4. the exo members once unanimously voted chen as the sweetest member for a survey 5. chen is a lyricist who wrote lyrics for exo and his solo songs, among others. his potential was acknowledged by three different lyricists in the industry 6. he gave his fans a nickname called “soondingie” which, in korean, means someone who is gentle/soft/sweet🥺

I've been a fan of BTS & BLACKPINK since 2018, I thought other kpop groups are trash so I didn't check them out. It's so good to have more artists like these to like, of the same age as me. Everything I see seems to be aimed at younger people while I'm left more and more with "older people music". Not that there's anything wrong with the more lyrical music.
