great channel can you explain the result of the interaction term? what does it mean? the first part with the base and groups is quite clear but the second part with the interaction (sex#group), can you please explain what does it mean?

This is so great for anyone interested in stata! just an advice: I think you could have omitted hitting tabulate twice at the beginning by using numlabel command

Thank you so much. You solved my big problem, how to set a base level for factor variable.

How do you leave out the main effects using factor variable operators? I see how you can do that using -xi- (with the pipe symbol between agegrp and sex ; xi: regress bpsystol i.agegrp|sex), but I need to use factor variable operators so my postestimate command, -contrast- , will work.

I'm using stata, are there any different commands for principal component analysis PCA in panel data Or Just simply run PCA after standardizing variables?

Use your favorite site to search for "stata faq interaction" and the first link should be useful. I tried posting the link but it isn't allowed here.

Well, I wrote a lengthy reply but it ran well over 500 characters. I would recommend consulting your favorite applied statistics text for guidance on interpretation.

Hi there, can someone help with this: in both anova and ancova models, how do you interpret the coeficients of the interaction between 2 factor variables, and the coeficient of the interatcion between a factor variable and a continuos variable???? thanks in advance for any tip.
