I always gotta chime in and thank Shawn and Digikey for these guides! They're such high quality tutorials on FOSS software that show you how to do amazing low level/hardware things that you'd normally have to go to a fancy university for!

with thickness tool, you have to be patient on complex geometries - it doesn't crash, its just slow

The validate sketch tool will highlight wires that aren't closed and will save some time in locating them.

I think you could have sliced the boat with the stern downwards on the build plate. That way you would not need support material.

That would probably also work, depending on the angle of the bow.

Freecad crashed a few times doing this exercise. But it didn't crash when using the plug-in though...

Just curious as to why you’re still using 1.0.0RC1 and not the newest version. I’m really liking These tutorials by the way

Because I recorded all of them with RC1. v1.0 was not out at the time.
