What talent, thanks.. I am a crafts-person who would like to learn spinning just for the adventure of learning a new art. Many thanks. Give your kitty a big hug for me. Surprised she didn't try to interrupt your work more. And the woven towels were magnificent !

This was terrific in explaining the differences between the various hand spindles. Now at least I know what I am looking for. Thanks from a dead set beginner.

Thank you for this trip into far away lands and their ancient techniques which I would love to learn. I have never spun as I always bought my wool from craft shops. Now I wish to spin plarn and dog hair. So appreciate your video showing different spindles,

Thanks. I'm signed in as RallyJudge now, my other KZbin channel. Hand spindles can be expensive, you don't need the most expensive/fancy to get started, but you do need to get a good one - if not they wobble, won't spin and can cause more frustration than you need. If you can't tell, I'm VERY partial to top whorl spindles.

Hi! I'm brazilian and my english is very bad, so I will put in portuguese, ok?

Thank you for showing the different types of spindles, and how to use them. Have you made or know of videos on how to start from the beginning, like how to make the strips used for drafting ? Bernadette

I have a low whorl spindle like the one on your far right. but it has so little stick beneath the whorl! There's literally an inch below. I have no idea how to work it and it feels really unbalanced... I don't know how to get started with it and feel like I've been sold a useless stick >:(

How long does it take to make a ball of yarn or a full ....well I don't know the name but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Obviously all balls of yarn are different sizes, but how long does it take to make an average one doing this by hand? - Thank you. :)

I can't speak for anyone else, but I can spin and ply about 150 yards in a few hours.

by the way... I did NOT finish watching the video and will not. It's too aggravating and frustrating trying to watch you stumble your way through the demo. IT does NOT WORK!!! Not coming back, so don't care what you think of my comment.
