Introduction to Intimate Wear

Receive a step-by-step introduction to intimate wear in CLO by one of our very-own CLO 3D Designers. This tutorial will go through the basic workflow of creating a wired padded bra. After making a block, the design will be modified with different materials.

I came here to learn how to make a wire channel because I'm struggling with it. and another concern of mine was how to make and set ring and slider which you skipped as well. please don't make any tutorial with skipping any steps which are crucial for the design and designer to know. waiting for updates.

Second comment : I've been trying to make ring and slider since this morning and it was quite easy to create them but I'm unable to use those because each time I simulate its collision with fabric and either become wrong fitting or came out. could you please suggest me the video where I can solve this problem or creating one would be better. thanks !

You can also turn off collision. They will then act more like a stationary avatar. You may also want to increase the collision of either the ring or the strap slightly. Also make sure the Particle Distance is low enough on the strap so the mesh is tight and cannot slip through

I am disigning wire bra. When i am positioning wire around cup, i need opppsite side will be place automatically by symeteic pattern, is it possible?

Hi, would you be able to animate something like this? I'm attempting to animate a corset and I'm trying figure out an alternative to freezing to uphold the underwire and boning structure. Any suggestions?

Hi. A good Alternative to freeze with items that sit on the body can be Pins to Avatar. Remove the Freeze > Add Pins to pattern piece (make sure it is in place) > R-Click on Pins in 3D > Pin to avatar.

Okay, I figured this out, I was pinning to the avatar and for some reason the program flipped out, but just regular pinning works.

I did not understand how you create a wire under the breast and how to make it so that it does not fall but is a support for the bra?

You Freeze that pattern piece... it is in the video.

@@cococochanel6989 You cannot animate a frozen pattern piece. Explore changing the material of just the "underwire" to a stiffer fabric and apply Strengthen & Solidify.

Do you have a video you can share on how to achieve the final image? I can make snapshots of colorways, but I need renders in multiple colorways in one image. I could render each colorway, then photoshop, but curious if there is a built in way...

There are other videos here about mastering Rendering. As for multiple colorways in one file you would have to import multiple projects into one.

from the designer; " knit cotton jersey. Currently it's difficult to do fitting for intimate/swimwear due to the limitation of hard body avatar, substitute a fabric which is closest to the real one."

Currently it is not possible to change the cup size on the Avatars. To change the skin to nude, this option is in the new Avatar Face Style version 6.1; support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/900006057446-Avatar-Face-Style-Configurator-ver-6-1-
