Organized by textbook: learncheme.com/ Derives the kinetic rate expression for the catalytic reaction A + B to products, where surface reaction is assumed to be the rate-determining step. Langmuir isotherms are used to model adsorption of A and B, and the products are assumed to be weakly adsorbed. Made by faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder, Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering.

how do you derive a rate equation if the RDS is an adsorption reaction and not a surface reaction?

shouldn't the denominator be (1+KB*CB)^2 after assuming KA*CA

I already got it :u, since KB*CB>>1, the ''1+'' doesn't affect the expression that much
