Download Vocaloid without buying is illegal, and making original songs with it can get a producer to be hated. Take Circus P, for example, he uses Pocaloid (illegal versa of Vocaloid) and others got absolutely pissed off. You have no idea how long it took Circus to recover from that hate. Using Pocaloid for cover song is perfectly fine.

Quick question. ;w; Can you import wav. or MP3 files Into vocaloid while your making the vocals, ya know, for 'cover' purposes so I don't have to make the instrumentals separately...?

Don't even have the Vocaloid software. I'm trying to get as much info as I can about the software and how to use it before I actually get it. One question-you can make notes longer and stuff right? I'm just wondering if you can change the pitch in the same note? I imagine you can make something like that either in the way I imagine or something idk about

If I buy Vocaloid V4 Editor... 1. What Vocaloids will be there? 2. Is that enough to make songs? 3. Does it work on any PC?
@biglarge2477
@biglarge2477 8 жыл бұрын
1. Unfortunately, no VOCALOIDs come with the V4 editor. You have to purchase them serperately, and they are quite expensive. But, if memory serves, you don't need to buy the V4 editor if you can figure out how to use Piapro. The VOCALOID known that is one of the easiest to tune is IA. 2. Unfortunately, no, it is not. It only covers the vocals. If you are looking for a free program to create the instrumental, I suggest LMMS. Of course, you need to know basic music theory AT LEAST for your music to sound decent. 3. Generally, yes, V4 and Piapro both work on PCs.
@lidlyp
@lidlyp 8 жыл бұрын
I meant, is this enough to make the vocals and all :) What is Piapro?
@biglarge2477
@biglarge2477 8 жыл бұрын
Salty Marshmallow Yes, it is enough to make the vocals. Of course, it takes a lot of practice and time to make the vocals sound human-like. Piapro is like a free version of the V4 editor, I don't think it has all the components of the editor, but it has all the necessary parts I don't know how to get it working, though, sorry.

Traditionally they sing Japanese? Lol. Traditionally they sing English, the first three Vocaloids ever made were English, Japanese got popular because Yamaha had a better sound script for Japanese, they didn't have a good one for English and so the Japanese Vocaloid gained popularity while English Vocaloids kind of died off

Actually now they have a lot of really great english vocaloids, though they don't have all of the phonemes necessary to make them sound perfect. I know that Ruby in particular is wonderful at pronunciation and actually the newly released Miku V4 English is quite good! The various companies in charge of the various vocaloids are pushing hard to diversify their market to places like China and America so recent releases see a lot of really good vocaloids in those languages.

All of you commenting saying that they have good V4 English, I know! I didn't mention that because I was telling him why that misunderstanding came about, also the scripts are made for universal English. If you want it to pronounce color the British way, put in colour and it corrects the phenomes most people use American English spellings of words and so you get the American pronunciation.

Man, there are quite a few things you didn't cover in this video. For example, you only mentioned Cyber Diva, but she's not the only VOCALOID capable of speaking English. Ruby, DAINA, DEX, Avanna, Big Al, and SONiKA are a few examples of American/British VOCALOIDS. Of course, there are also VOCALOIDs who have the capabilities of singing in more than one language, with a different voicebank. For example, Hatsune Miku, Luka, (basically all the cryptonloids), GUMI, and FUKASE all have both Japanese and English voice banks. There are also Chinese VOCALOIDs, like Luo Tianyi and Stardust, along with Spanish VOCALOIDs, MAIKA, Bruno & Clara. What about importing VSQxs, and MIDIs? That's also possible in the V4 engine. You didn't go over how to tune, or how phonemes work at all. Please elaborate on your knowledge of VOCALOID before attempting to make an instructional video.

I've literally only just started looking into this, yours is the first video I've watched, and I'm wondering once you've made the lyrics you want I assume you export it in some way to have her voice file. From this can you add this file to things like Garage band and Soundation Studio and made the instrumental alongside her singing? Sorry, really unsure on how any of this process works.

you have to make the music/instrumentals in another program (like FL Studio, LMMS, Sony Vega, etc) yes the music can be imported into VOCALOID Editor, but the opposite can also be done. The vocals can be exported and put into the program used to make the music

I bet most people are here because they are anime fans and don't know much about music production. Lol if you are, and you want to get into music production, you are going to have to learn a lot and drop several hundred dollars to make the stuff you want. Plus, it'll take 2+ years to get used to your equipment. But, don't worry. Because there is satisfaction in learning how to make music. Good luck to anyone on their music production journey ^^

Can Vocaloid 3 and/or 4 work with linux? I'm saving money to buy a vocaloid and I was just wondering. I hear that there IS and there ISN'T a way for Vocaloid 3 and 4 to work but I'm not too sure since the articles came out about 3+ years ago.

Did a search and saw this. You might be able to get it running with WINE but there's no native app in linux. utaforum.net/resources/running-vocaloid4-on-linux-with-wine.282/

So where does the music come into vocaloid? I've been thinking of getting the software but kinda concerned on what I may or may not be able to do with it. It cost a lot of money so I'd like to know the limitations on it before I invest in it.

Vocaloids could only provide you the vocal part if you plan to make songs, and it's somehow expensive because you will also have to buy the editor, so I would say you would need around 120-180$ to buy 1 vocal and and an editor, Crypton's vocaloids also come with an editor so you will not need to buy the editor separately, but their voice qualities are not the best among the market. English vocaloids are cheaper than japaneseloids for some reasons and vocaloids tend to produce lots of characteristics than human voice so it is quite fun to hear them sing and ultilize them in various ways like for harmonies, back-up vocals, telephone ringtone,etc ... it can sing but for rapping or reading it can not, unless you play with the PIT and have superb understanding of tuning in the editor. So that's the basic understanding I can offer to you And yes both the editors and some vocals have trials, you can go and check it out to see if you like them or not

Neo Blaze The Vocaloid program only contains the vocal. If you want to add music, use a separate program, and then import the music. Or export the vocal to the music program.

Well that's disappointing so you pay 300 to 400 dollars and you don't even get the full process isn't that like false advertisement?
