Great Job on the video! One of my favorite shows as a child. Years later, I learned aircraft that crashed in the opening sequence was the M2-F2 lifting body research vehicle. It was flown flown by test pilot Bruce Peterson at the dry lakebed at Edwards AFB. He was injured badly in the crash as the machine rolled over many many times. He ultimately lost his right eye from his injuries, but just like Colonel Austin, he did survive the crash and flew again ! Thanks for the trip in the Wayback machine Professor!

Very good video I am a 40+ year collector that specializes in The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman.. And you are correct about the inaugural year of 1975 for the figure now there are two types that were made the first one and 75 had a non-removable left arm the only way it would come off as he would have to break it off. Sadly this is what exactly happened during the initial run in 1975 many children broke the left arm parents complain to Kenner toys they then recalled all existing figures from 1975 then made a correction in the spring of 1976 with a duel removable arms which would become the norm until the last figure released in 1978 known as Biosonic ( which happens to be the most valuable of all the Steve Austin figures). One other point the rollup skin believe it or not I have original figures from 1975 in my collection that still have the original skin complete and intact..

I didn’t have the box, but I kept it in very good shape. Until one day, like everything else , Now it gets thrown out in the trash.

Yup. That happens a lot. It's hard to know what you will look back on decades later and wish you had kept.
