FYI the predicates ‘entertaining’ and ‘informative’ are not mutually exclusive… In addition to that, have you considered that merely informing you about some dead Europeans isn’t the main goal of this lecture series? It seems to me as if he’s trying to challenge you to think sociologically… idk maybe you were a little too entertained during the first lecture, when he was setting out his aim, to pick up on his explicit verbal statements… happens to the best of us.
