Introduction to the FUNCTION button on an E463 Keyboard

I have published several dozen KZbin tutorials on how to use the Yamaha E463 keyboard, and I invite you to view them too.
Unfortunately because of a copyright hit last December, I had to delete several of my E463 KZbins, because they contained copyrighted music.
I have recently broken the ring finger on my right hand, so playing songs is very difficult at the moment, since I can’t use that finger. I see a surgeon in one hour….wish me luck.

Thank you so much for considering the visually impaired people, by teaching very slowly for us to understand and catch up how to use the psr e463 keyboard correctly because we are memorizing all the steps you're given on the video, because we are not able to see on the keyboard display screen and this makes it difficult know or to be sure if the button i press is also showing on the screen. I suggest that the Yamaha technicians must try to create keyboards which have a screen reader or a voice over that will speak when pressing any button on the keyboard and to announce to the user that he or she has selected the correct setting to play the music of their choice. In short a speaking music keyboard which will be user-friendly to the blind community around the world, remember most blind people like playing piano or keyboard, so it is very difficult fòr us to see on the display screen and to be sure if the the button we pressing on the keyboard is also showing on the screen. I bought a Yamaha prs e463 keyboard for myself to learn playing it , therefore as a person who is partially blind, it's very difficult for me to see well on the display screen to select the the settings I want on the keyboard, thus means as a visually impaired person the keyboard is not user-friendly to me, because of straining my eyes trying to look on the display screen. My wish is that one day there can be a talking music and keyboard with a voice over technology which will help the user who are visually impaired or blind to be able to use music the keyboard well the same as the fully sighted people. This was very helpful indeed, I'm now going to memorise all the steps of selecting different functions, some displays digits on the screen are not visible enough for those of us who are visually impaired or blind, therefore the way you explain these functions will atleast make it a bit easier for us to get along and be able to use the keyboard properly . But just as I mentioned in my first comment I said it's going to be good if Yamaha can develop, manufacture or invent a talking music keyboard with a voice over that can assist the blind people to independently be able to select settings on the keyboard panel. Some settings appears very small on the display sceen and blind people are un able to see what's displayed on the screen. O hope Yamaha technicians will come up with a solution for us the blind when it comes to keyboard being user-friendly. Thanks for the video Mr Morie.❤

Thanks so much Morrie! It works! I am still wondering, why the word measurement showed up and what it means. The E473 works a little differently! So I have to get used to my brand new E463, I wanted to get already last year, but it was out of stock! I cannot thank you enough for all the great videos you posted over the years and still post!

Hi Morrie! I switched from the E 473E to the E 463, because of your fantastic videos!! When I want to adjust the volume of the style, song ..., the display does not show function. It shows measurement and I cannot change the volume with the category button. What do I do wrong? For your nice advise thanks very much in advance!

I know what your problem is: let's say you want to change the volume of the style. Follow there steps: first press the STYLE button on the lower right side of the keyboard. Second press the FUNCTION button. Next use the CATAGORY buttones to select Function #001 which is the style volume. Then use the rotory wheel to select which volume setting you want. The volume goes from 1 up to 127 for full volume. To change the main voice volume, first press the VOICE button, then press the FUNCTION button, use the CATAGORY button to select Function # 011 , the M .Volume, which is the main voice, and finally use the rotory wheel to dial up the amount of volume you want , ranging from 1 to 127.

I have the PSR EW-425 if you can send me the Manual of EW-425. Including the voice and style. By the way my EW-425 screen is not visible. Where can I found the contrast button. Sir, Thank you.
