Why don't you follow the aqeedah of the maliki school ? You only accept the fiqh but throw away the aqeedah . Al-Haafidh Ibn Abdul-Barr al-Anduloosee al-Maalikee who was born in 368H mentioned the ijmaa' (consensus) in this affair from the Salaf, in his book At-Tamheed 7/145, he stated: Ahlus-Sunnah are in agreement upon acknowledging and affirming that all of the Attributes mentioned in the Qur'aan and Sunnah, and belief in them; that they are carried upon their apparent meaning and not metaphorically - [and Ahlus-Sunnah] they do not state how they are at all. As for ahlul-bid'ah, the Jahmiyyah, the Mu'tazilah, the Khawaarij, all of them reject this, and they do not carry any of these Attributes upon their apparent meanings. They claim that the one who affirms them [i.e. the apparent meanings] is an anthropomorphist (mushabbih). And according to those who affirm [the Attributes] these [ahlul-bid'ah] negate the One who is worshiped [due to their negation of His Attributes]. And the truth is what they have said with speech that is in accordance with the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wassalam) - and they are the Imaams of the Jamaa'ah, and all praise is due to Allaah.

The bid^ah of the jahmiyyah and the mutazilah wasnt that they called people who believed in their apparent meanings were anthropromorphists, it was that they believed Allah was everywhere, which is kufr and they said that they denied the verses or attributes that would go against their belief. Ahlus Sunnah say verses like 20:5 you have iman in them and you leave it as it is to avoid giving it a description (which is exactly the way of Imam Malik). Because the apparent meaning like being above (physically)/sitting/firmly established/ etc (on the Arsh) is kufr, because you are affirming a place and direction to Allah which is likening Allah to the creation. the attribute of Istiwa existed before the Arsh existed because All of His attributes are eternal and do not change. Allah existed before place and He is now, without place. Allah was attributed with istiwa before the Arsh and however the attribute was then it is the same now.

@beasts_and unicorns I still affirm the aqeedah of the first generation of Muslims but I'm less zealous akhi😁 . There are worse things going on in the world that need fixing
