I've been slowly learning freecad for a few weeks now and this was incredibly helpful to me. Part of the problem I have been encountering is understanding WHY I would do something a certain way and most videos I find just tell you HOW to do it. I really like the way you show these actions and tools. Greatly appreciated.

In the 1st example, where do you set the mirrored spacing?

Thanks for your question. The mirror is made relative to the plane that you select, so the distance between the two objects is twice the distance between the object and the selected plane.

easiest way to create an object like this would be a sketch array of holes within a rectangle and pad it. Virtually no computing time and easily scaled up.
