First let me say thank you for the video. Now for the criticism, and not of you but of FreeCad. I use FreeCad, with the Part and Path workbenches. These two WBs treat chamfers very differently. In Path I believe the recommendation is NOT to model Chamfers, rather cut them with a single pass of a single tool using the chamfer toolpath. So as far a Path is concerned Chamfers seem to be cosmetic in nature .... unless they are fairly large, then I guess you could mill the chamfer.

Thanks for your feedback Carl. I haven't used the Part workbench as much as I have Part Design because I find that Part Design meets my needs (mostly) as a wood worker. It's interesting to me that they would have a different philosophy to using chamfers in a model, and I can see the logic of it up to a point. TBH I don't put chamfers in any of my designs in FreeCAD because I use tiny chamfers on the finished product to soften the sharp edges of timber so that people don't get hurt. Tiny chamfers are hardly worth modeling IMHO but I will model a decorative chamfer from time to time so I do use the tool. I appreciate your feedback because it helps me understand the software a little more each time I receive feedback.
