Swami ji, Sadar Charan Sparsh. I am eternally grateful for enlightening me about Adwait Vedant hence helping me to accept life as it is, hence a baby step forward on road to spirituality. One small doubt. If I alone is real as one and only Brahma and the universe around not real . Then who it is who is living life and doing karma now as well as living life to bear consequences of karmas of past life. Is the entire theory of life being consequential of karmas too mithya. How does it and where it fits in Vedanta philosophy. This is confusion kindly clear this again for me. I am confessing my wooly mindset. Charan Sparsh. Pramod Verma Ahmedabad Gujarat India.

I am new to Vedanta and I am really enjoying this series of talk. And certainly I agree with the logical series of arguments. My basic question I suppose is... now what? Unless a person is “enlightened” how does Vedanta help in my daily life? Even if I realize I am Brahman others do not and they are still acting like people, selfish, mean, etc. Thanks in advance

I guess you start understanding what to value in life. You learn to have dispassion towards the impermanent things that people run after. You learn to forgive people, be patient with the weird ongoings of the world. No matter what the world throws at you, you'll gradually be able to withstand it all with a smile, because you've now got a taste of the underlying reality :)

Sairam Swami Sarvapriyananda ji It is just AbsolutelyAwesome to be able understand the Brahman point of view with the example of the clay and the pot, the pot from the clay's point of view and every thing that IS from Brahman's point of view. The names becoming meaningless and empty. Crystal Clear. One can refer to it at any time to reach the truth. With Infinite Love and Gratitude Saiasha.

Swamiji enjoying myself your explanations on Adytha Knowledge .Indeed Wonderful. I have two doubts kindly clarify. 1.Essence of Adytha is all are Brahman, if it is so how can there be a God incarnation like Sri Ramakrishna , Sathya Sai ,Ramana Maharshi etc.? 2 . After a person's death his subtle body leaves and takes another birth if this is the matter in olden days we had less population now we have cores of population then how come new bodies have come up more. Can we count animals and insects into view.Even there population is also increased i believe. Or it one chaitanya /consciousness taking so many forms.Kindly explain Swamiji.

Someone answer please . . In gospel of sriramkrishna, one place He is asked , since God is is our charioteer, are we not responsible for our bad deeds? Lord ramakrushna says, one who knows God can not do wrong. My question is, since God is everyone’s charioteer, whether one knows God or not, so how come person does bad deed, suppose even if he does not know God.🙏

Why Brahman is Real Why the god of Vedanta is the most known among all concepts of god - Anything and everything which is perceived or inferred with the help of consciousness can be an illusion or dream. What consciousness presents before us can be an illusion. But consciousness itself cannot be an illusion, because it is constant, all the time and self evident. (Someone shows you something, but it is not what you thought you will see, the thing shown to you can be called false, but the fact of the show-er cannot be false, because you are seeing what he showed you!). The show-er is a self evident reality. Vedanta god is the most known of all gods. Namaste !

It doesn't make sense because we who do no harm to others and not like harmful acts shouldn't show love towards them why is it unwise for us to dislike people who do harm they seem to be far more ignorance by hurting others I don't have no desire to include that in myself I find that an abomination to hurt children or sexually abuse them that kinda behavior is what makes this entire world feel like a nightmare I can obtain no peace or wisdom because I refuse to accept that kind of behavior are you telling me that God the eternal consciousness does ?
@santhoshgopinath8162 жыл бұрын
You are talking legality, morality, humanity, social mores, , .... these are guiding lights for successful living in the world. I dont need a god to tell me all these things. If I follow these best practices, it is good for me. If I dont, there are legal, moral, social, and karmic consequences, which I will face, these are my concerns, not concerns of god. When these aspects mature, then spirituality is a possibility to delve into the mysteries of existence itself. God is the author but the non doer. Since your name and content of the post suggest you come from a western tradition, think of the halloween pumpkin. God is the light inside the pumpkin. The shape of light patch thrown on the wall is entirely decided by what design I have carved on the pumpkin. If my design is square, it will throw a square light patch. if my design is crooked, it will throw a crooked light patch. The light shines equally upon all carved designs and without the light, no light patch can form on the wall. But the shape of my light patch, whether it is square or crooked, is entirely my own making. God is the author but the non doer. Before all that, Swamiji himself gave the reasoning already from non duality itself - Good and bad are appearances, but it is valid within the appearance. World is experienced still, and it is transactionally “a truth”. Cause and effect works there, within the world, brahman is not touched by it. Swami Vivekananda - “the only justification for doing good is non duality “ How ?? Because we are all just the one and not multiples, if I hurt you, I am hurting myself, which is not very clever, and justifies good. As against this reason for non violence, reasons of legal and moral, karmic etc actually are weak. The whole problem of ethics in modern philosophy is the idea - “you cannot derive an OUGHT from an IS”. It claims what one should do cannot be derived from what is happening around, it is a value judgement. Swami Vivekananda challenged this. He rooted the OUGHT in the IS REALITY brahman in the deepest way possible.
