Quick sound fix : Download the videos and play it with VLC .Right click on the video while playing and change the audio setting from default stereo to Right .

Calculation of the probability of bob succeding is done incorrectly as it should be done using the posterior probability of seeing the value of f(x) and not x. If the event of 0 and 1 were not equally likely then the probability would have come out incorrect.

I dont understand the second case of "Alices cheating probability" - X is odd. if x[0] = 1 then f(x)| at bit 0 will always be = 1. but now if alice tries to change parity of X to even, then x[0] = 0 and f(x)| at bit 0 will depend again on x[100]. How can this mean that alice can still cheat with probability = 1. please explain ...

The presentation has to be better. I know it is a free lecture and you cannot expect more. I am commenting only because it is coming from a IIT prof. i felt this simple introduction was made difficult to understand, particularly for novices. The Prof should prepare more thoroughly, and should not go back and forth with his own words Or correct his statement.The students Or Learners should use these videos as a basis on which they can make further research and make things clearer for themselves.

malhar jajoo when the value of x is odd then then x[0]=1 so output of f(x)|0 = 1 always so the probability of alice cheating given the value of x is odd is 1*1/2=1/2 where 1/2 comes for x[100] since value of x[0] cannot change (it is always 1). But the second case that u refer to is entirely a different case which produces 2 values of f(x)|0 at x[0] being 0 1) x[0]ORx[100]=depends on x[100] now since value of x[100] cannot be 1 because if it was 1 then it will contradict the value of earlier proclaimed value of x as odd .Which would make our hypothesis wrong . 2) value of f(x)|0 = 1 it can be due to x[100] thus producing value of 1/2 making final prob to be 1/2*1/2 =1/4 . ur skepticism was wrong its 1/4 not 1
