it's always been weird for me, im really nervous sharing writing pieces, art, and things like that with people, but when I do, say, my drama exams or production, while I have some nervousness, im normally more confident in these situations, even though, for the exams, im being judged by a professional, and for productions, its normally in front of a lot of people. I personally think this is because i'm shifting into a different character, which distracts me from the nervousness. (oh also i'm an ambivert)

Being an ambivert isn't really best of both worlds. If you're not good at figuring out what energises and drains you then it's sort of like being on a rollercoaster. You might think seeing someone or doing something will energise you but it drains you instead. And then other times you might be really energised unexpectedly at an event you didn't want to go to. You're always juggling how much social interaction. Not enough and you feel drained. Too much and you feel drained. Some alone time regains energy. And other alone time is draining.

I have no irl friends in my grade or age-range, and I can only really, like actually talk to people I'm close with. Everyone judges me for being quiet. It's no fun to be terrified in social situations. And the fact is that none of this is even made up, it totally sounds like something made up to use for attention. And some do use it for attention, but I legitimately cannot talk to people. I know how pathetic it sounds, and it is. But I couldn't start a conversation to save my life. I wish I was an introverted extrovert. But being a total introvert is the worst sometimes. And extroverts are ALWAYS wondering why I'm alone. Intoverts also over think EVERYTHING.

The more I read, and on KZbin listen, the more I think I am an ambivert. When I was younger, I was much further out on the introversion scale. But over several decades, I Have Become more outgoing but still enjoy being by myself. There are people who have met me with in the past 10 years who will swear there's no way that I can be an introvert! But people who have known me 20 years or more, know for sure I am.

Yes, extroverted introverts are way different, which I discovered relatively recently. Extroverted introverts are introverts who are kinda forced to be “extraverts” by society. They have some mental issues, so extroverted introvert is worse than ambivert

I think that the are the introverted people who would like to be with their friends more and actually kind of look up to extroverts, but that's just my thought. Ambiverts have some traits from both intro and extro, but not the factor that I mentioned about extroverted introverts. So using what I said you can be an ambivert *and* an extroverted introvert since It is basically which category you look forward to and ambivert means you have a mixture of the traits. I was an introvert up until late high school year. I started having job interviews, volunteering events etc. and those require social interactions. It is more like I'm being "forced" to include some extroversion in my personality but that is not neccesarily a bad thing for me.
