This just highlights how the Big Five works more like a Spectrum clustering together and comparing correlations between different traits, ending up with groups of categories like Openness, which can then be further specified into specific forms of openness. I'll be honest, I quite like that.

Thank you for the precision, I never went deeper into Big 5, cause I didn't see the use for it. It's fun, cause when we have conscious of the unconscious, when we know how our intuition works, it's now conscious.

I think my favourite definition of intuition comes from Cognitive Personality Theory which is predicated on Jung & more in line with what Jung originally meant as opposed to MBTI. Intuition is simply a broad abstract lense turned inwards (Ni) or outwards (Ne) both of which are cognitive elements not functioning - it must be attached to a codec to be fully operationalised ie NiTi (INFJ convergent function) or TiNi (ENFJ divergent function). I actually, as does CPT don't think there's anything unconscious about intuition at least not for a conscious user hence why many people mistype as INFJ,INTJ, ENFJ etc. It is conscious as say Ni is basically on a continuum with Si extrapolating rather from a number of different data points. It's also important to point out in CPT all types are intuitive in their own way for example an ISFP is a FiNi convergent type & an ISTJ is a NeTe divergent type.

I am more an ISFP than an INFP, but my openness to experience is very high, and I think it comes from other factors like my environment (my father is an NFJ type, so I had resources for intellectual openness and philosophy, and friends who would invite me to try new stuff), and life circumstances. I believe fully that my rather traumatic life made me connect with my intuition more, ask why-questions etc., while also craving sensoric adventures. But I can't explain where my trend towards imagination and daydreaming comes from, when I'm not an intuitive type.

An ISFP is a primarily Feeling type, with more balanced Sensing and Intuition. Generally in the model, people develop their main function (for an ISFP Fi) first in the teenage years, their secondary function (for an ISFP Se) second during the early twenties, their tertiary function (for an ISFP Ni) third during the late twenties and early thirties and their fourth function (for an ISFP Se) last during later times. But people aren't types, and especially circumstances can skew traits just the way you mentioned. Therefore to differentiate between ISFP and INFP in your case, I'd recommend looking at Se+Ni vs Ne+Si. Remember you are yourself and not a type and never should limit yourself by your type. If MBTI helps you uncover and improve upon weaknesses you haven't noticed in yourself or better communicate with other people, that's great, but it still is just a system drastically simplifying a single aspect about the human mind and its personality.

Can you make a video about infjs and fi function? Are they in contact with their fi and how it works for them?

I need to make homework and get a clear image what is intuition. I understand it's not emotional, but i experience very often moments when i know for example that another person have knowledge i'm interested in ... i don't know why, but these strange moments comes and every time it was true and correct. How did i verified that person had this knowledge? as a talk progressed, she simply told me and i've got "aha, so this was THAT information". Not sure how to describe, metaphorically for me intuition as "compass". And not sure if i'm correct. Many times i ignored these "signals" and i regretted every time, because i tought "nah, this can't be true, my mind play tricks on me?". To this day, i'm still unsure if i can name that intuition. What i know for sure i have a lot of moments when ... i simply know, and this moment hit me like a big church bell because i don't even know why.

I think what you describe could be said in MBTI-terms to be lower Ni, so an xSxP type, who has Ni in tertiary or inferior position.

I think you have good intuition regardless of your type, not all Ni/Ne-dom have good intuition cus there are also Ni/Ne-dom who have low emotional vibration/low energy/depressed. Depression, feeling of hopelessness, & low emotional state preventing you from gaining good intuition. But generally i think healthy Ni/Ne-dom will have high emotional vibration & good intuition cause we are not attached to the sensory world like Sensing types, especially if you are a Ni-dom, you will often feel that you are connected to a higher part of yourself like you've just been disconnected from the world of the senses & just feel peace

Umm...intuition functions precisely because those that have this developed function of consciousness are open to experience. It is a receptive mode of consciousness. It's ridiculous to imply that somehow there is some imaginary conflict between experience and intuition. You are projecting. Intuition is not a "construct". It is a function of consciousness. It is one of the 4 functions of consciousness that have evolved in the human psyche.

Hm, I think you may be misunderstanding what is meant by construct. Intuition, as explained by Jung, is a construct that attempts to explain a phenomenon, one of subconscious perception. Openness to Experience is also a construct, one that measures expressions of personality. A construct in this context means a man made grouping or domain of characteristics. Jung explained intuition, but so does cognitive and neuro psychology through other constructs like heuristics. Jung was not the only one to do work on intuition. So Jungs construct of intuition is different from the overarching construct of intuition (which is also a construct). While adhering to Jungs theory is a good working model and is helpful, it should not be seen as the only interpretation of complex constructs like intuition.
