Bofors തോക്ക് ലോകോത്തരമായ item തന്നെയാണ്. ഏതു defense purchase ഉണ്ടായാലും അന്ന് രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കര്ക് commission കിട്ടുമായിരുന്നു.അത് ആയുധലോബിയുടെ രീതിയാണ്. Commission വാങ്ങി എന്ന് വച്ചു സാധനം മോശം ആകണമെന്നില്ല. Jains defence review പോലെത്തെ ലോകോത്തര journal കൾ വായിച്ചാൽ അറിയാം. ഇന്ത്യൻ വ്യോമസേന ദുർബ്ബലമൊന്നുമല്ല.മിഗ് 21 വിയറ്റ്നാം യുദ്ധത്തിൽ എത്രയോ എഫ്16 കളെ തകർത്തു.അത് മോശം വിമാനം അല്ല.സുഖോയ്30 മൾട്ടിറോൾ ഉള്ളപ്പോൾ ഒരു വിമാനം തന്നെ പണ്ട് ഓരോ ആവശ്യത്തിന് പല വിമാനങ്ങൾ വേണ്ടിയിരുന്നിടത്ത് ഉപയോഗിക്കാം പണ്ട് ബോംബിംഗ് പ്രതിരോധം നിരീക്ഷണം ഇവക്ക് മൂന്ന് വിമാനം ആവശ്യമുള്ളപ്പോൾ ഇന്ന് ഒരു സുഖോയ് മതി.സ്ക്വാഡ്രണുകളുടെ നമ്പർ കുറഞ്ഞാലും ഭീക്ഷണി ഇല്ല.
