If you're taking a shot at Yashahime I can totally understand why, what with how they've got so many blanks to fill in and then that they bring in so many elements that are supposed to be super important or dangerous if they were to be allowed to become all that they could be but ultimately never do... For the most part. Other than those criticisms I overall really like it and think it's a real work of art in its own way, like a truly abstract abstract that seems like nothing to someone who isn't a constant thinker or artist themselves, but that is so many things to one who is and sees that art isn't always traditional and doesn't have to be in order to count as art and be beautiful, captivating, mind picking, and just plain thought evoking. Though if there are no shots being taken then my bad. Didn't get me heated, what you said, so there's no nothing in the way of that kind of bs. Just figured I'd share my take to share my take and then as well just for gits and shiggles, cause why not lol

+ Toga wanted InuYasha to accept himself as a half-human and half-demon, while Toga wanted Sesshomaru to learn compassion. Toga left Sesshomaru the Tenseiga for that purpose; only someone with a compassionate heart would have the capability to bring the dead back to life. We could tell Sesshomaru is compassionate since he desires to protect Rin and Jaken, while InuYasha no longer wants the sacred jewel to become a full-fledged demon.

Must've been a translation error, though Tenseiga could've developed the Dragon Strike/Azure Dragon Wave/Soryūha with it's power being only used to kill evil spirits not of the mortal plan which Sounga technically is.

one thing I got from this movie was that we should have gotten either a inuyasha sesshomaru sequel with just them and their complicated dynamic. Or a great dog demon prequel, Instead of next generation inuyasha and his kids. I say that because of both of their reactions to seeing their dad. Every time I watch this show I say “Huh, Sesshomaru really must have hated his dad a little bit” and of course Inuyasha really longed for one.

His dad and brother are full demons you’ll notice how they can transform into demon dogs. Inuyasha is a half demon that’s why he got the dog ears showing his demon side. So Inuyasha has inherited some demon traits, he’s unable to transform. All half demons have some traits that are different than normal demons. Like Jinenji how he looks very different from his dad, maybe it depends on how strong the demon side is.
