Not sure about that. The theme makes Zim out to be an imposing villain, but he’s anything but that, which might actually be the point of you think about it, this there couldn’t be a more appropriate theme that fits the show’s strong sense of irony.

It's a travesty that Nickelodeon and their cuck executives decided to cancel this show after two seasons and meddled in every way they could with how the show was going to handle itself. This thing was and still is a piece of horrific art that should be viewed by all. Also had a lot of great music and sound design.

If you read up what the author of the animated series had to say, even he admits that it wasn't Nickelodeon's fault for canceling the show. Invader Zim was unfortunately; broadcasted during a time of which America was in a state of absolute paranoia following the 9/11 attacks and many saw the show as repulsive and in bad taste and given that it was meant to be broadcasted to younger demographics who were growing up with SpongeBob and Fairly Odd Parents, needless to say, it not only didn't go well for the parents (who's reasons I just mentioned) but also the said audience who likely found the show too frightening. So as a result, the ratings were abysmal, and Nickelodeon really had no choice but to cancel it even after three seasons. That's really how the show was cancelled unfortunately.

Actually, the real reason why it was cancelled was simply because they were pushing the boundaries of their $500,000 budget per episode, and unfortunately, their ratings dropped, making Invader ZIM a bad investment on Nickelodeon's part. They had to cancel Invader ZIM, otherwise they were going to lose a lot of money, so that's not where the mistake lies. They were in the right to cancel the show. The MISTAKE they made was NOT SELLING IT TO CARTOON NETWORK!!! CN was absolutely interested in picking up Invader ZIM, and in fact they were planning on giving the ZIM team a bigger budget! But for some reason, those jackasses at Nickelodeon refused to sell the rights to anyone, and Invader ZIM died a quick but painful death. Shame on you, Nickelodeon. You flushed a golden opportunity down the toilet.

To be honest.... When i first saw this cartoon i loved it so much... but over the years i had commpletely forgotten it. It wasn't until i heard rumours of the film that i went back through memory lane for a refresher and i remembered how much the tory of a little green alien who wanted to conquer earth made me happy as a kid. The Writers Strike of 2007 is what ruined that. It caused the end of TGAOB&M, C:KND and many more that were scheduled to continue on, but were ended due to their humor and violence. Playing League of Legends whilst listening to the Invader Zim soundtrack is fucking amazing XD This show needs to be continued or at the very least rebooted not only because it was a fantastic show but also for it's incredibly subtle and great social commentary. The original crew with Jhonen need to come back along with Kevin Manthei for composer and only him. I know about the comic book series, but honestly, it isn't the same feeling, with that said, it's better than nothing :P If someone starts a petition, I'm definitely signing on :D
