New fan here. This album was one of the last things I heard live on their tour with Thrown before my cousin died a month ago. Maybe it's just the name of the song and the circumstance, but I break down and ball everything I hear it. What a beautiful piece. Your input as a veteran listener only makes me want to delve into their discography more.

@@JoHarm96I’ve never been a huge silent planet fan up until recently. The old cleans on their songs really felt like they were thrown in and an afterthought. Like trilogy is an amazing song for instance, but that chorus is terrible and ruins it for me. And when that dude tried to sing it when I saw them last year, oh my god he was basically tone deaf Now that garret has taken over as the sole vocalist, I think we’re about to see some great stuff from them. Their singles with garret as the sole vocalist are fucking awesome

I love Invent Animate... this band has grown on me this year so much... Their ambience and musical texture is so rich and thick, their song soft and heavy, melodic and riffy and most importantly: creative! They are right now the ultimate metalcore band. But the most amazing thing for me is how Marcus' vocals have improved from Greyview to Heavener... it's like night and day. His determination to improve his vocal ability has not gone unnoticed!

Absolutely different and softer from what Invent Animate usually does, but the quality is top notch as always for them. Thought it was on the track list but I can assume there's going to be a deluxe edition of it. Heavener so far is one of my favorite albums this year

I was iffy in IA before you did the album review, I told you how much I loved how hard it hit you emotionally but it just didn’t initially hit me as powerful. Because of you I gave it three more listens. I work nights. Now it is the first album I listen to with Heavener as the opener every night. Literally thank you. I have watched over 400 bands live. And met probably 100 of them. Meeting IA was almost spiritual for me thanks to your love of amazing music

My favourite of thiers alongside without a whisper. Mainly due to the vocal performance. But both songs have some of thier most catchy riffs that aren't just pure brutal but more melodic. They are growing on me, as I wasn't a huge fan of the Heavener album on a first listen. But in revisits have developed my greatest appreciation for thier slightly softer songs. Really creative, and add soo much breadth and variety to the album as a whole, once I could look beyond thier heavier side. I'm more interested in seeing what they do going forward after this realease. HLB have also eventually won me over, despite still not favouring thier latest album, at least half the songs draw me in, and the soundscapes are more nuanced with further listens. These are bands 5 or 6 years ago I don't think I would have been open minded enough to enjoy, since they are sooo different to more traditional metal bands as a gateway to the metal world as a whole, and from someone who naturally vibes to a much more clean guitar sound.

Marcus has great cleans but I would have preferred a lot more guitar work in that first half of the song. The riffs in the second half were really nice though!
