The fact he had that many successful flights with his own invention means that he had something. I looked up what happened and apparently the biggest flaw to his design was that it was top-heavy and had a tendency to slip into nosedives which were difficult for him to pull out of. He ended up in one after a gust of wind messed with his glide’s stability, and that’s why he crashed. Nowadays planes can endure a ton of random weather events, obviously, but in order for him to have flown successfully it must have required predictable weather.

@@TheBfutgreg Yeah, I don't think they had the most precise knowledge and ways to find out the true cause of death. But watching the video of the entire thing you can see how Reichelt was hesitating hard before he jumped. Probably the realization that he's going to die made his heart stop a fraction of a second before he even hit the ground.

@@myriellachance i know right? Omg I saw it last year and I've been having nightmares about it ever since. U saw when they rolled him up and walked him out? His feet were dangling.. and all I thought was "wow! He's STILL in one piece!?". Is there only one version on the video? Somehow the one I saw made it seem like the camera kept cutting in and out and it looked like it was edited as he hit the ground because the camera zoomed in when he was falling, then zoomed out when he hit the ground.. as if the person who uploaded it didn't want the viewers to see everything.. All I saw was a dot hitting the ground and 2 streams uprising from the ground like it was splatter of some kind 😶 someone mentioned on here that they saw his body hit the ground and bounce back off the pavement a few feet, then land.. I also remember a spit second of a screen shot of him on the ground.. he looked like a taxidermy skin on the ground :/

The Killdozer story is actually very tragic. Despite it's name, Martin never intended to kill anyone and sent letters several days in advance warning occupants about what he was about to do to his TARGETTED buildings. Through either contempt or arrogance they thought it was a prank and ignored it, but Martin very much intended to unalive himself afterwards. His plan went off more or less without a hitch.

The Killdozer story is interesting. People hail him as some sort of hero for standing up to The Man and not killing anyone but he definitely tried to kill a lot of people, and a lot of why he got into a conflict was because he was a giant asshole. Like, the city definitely screwed him over but he wasn't an angel either. Thankfully, he was the only one that actually got hurt.

I'm pretty sure the dude who made the bull was actually alive when they pulled him out, something along the lines of like, the king felt pity and felt it was to painful. So they pulled him out at medium rare, then they threw him off the cliff. Ya know, a "mercy" killing.
