A lot of people here are probably going to be VERY confused, so keep in mind **this has major spoilers** for Inverted Fate and is effectively Chapter 62 of a much longer story (which you can find in the description). If you are confused by the story, I recommend going back and checking out the rest, as this is the start of what will be a very ambitious (and fully animated) story arc that will take things to the end of the story. Question: I was checking in particular if it is possible to die from Chara's attacks. I could get 9 damage, but never 10. Is it even possible to die there?

@@venistoralishi3916 Chara will never kill Frisk. They don't want to hurt them. All of their attacks are just for show because they're scared, stressed, and wanted some space at first.

But before that, a Player was so bad at the game, they made Frisk give up on the Asriel battle. So the souls said "I'll do it myself", and messed up the timeline by accident. Chara and Flowey are the only people who remember.

@@pretzel4805 Imagine Frisk only had one life, (they couldn't continually respawn over and over again) and they were up against Asriel's second form with 1 HP. And the second form attacks are the hardest attacks to dodge in the entire game. That's how Inverted Fate Frisk lost the battle, they didn't have the will to stand up again. It's how the previous humans lost against asgore, they had determination, just not enough to be able to pass him.

Probably trying to get the hidden dialogue for getting hurt. Chara tries to avoid hurting Frisk, which is why you have to actively try to take damage.

@@Dorked So essentially, like Asriel said, there's only one outcome Chara avoids killing frisk. You can't just spare them to win. You can't fight. Healing doesn't advance the fight. You cannot do anything else. There isn't any other option.

@@CincTheIdiot Yeah, you basically have to let Frisk talk them down and comfort them. The next playable segment will have a bit more options, but this one was meant to be a more linear and emotional experience- more narrative-focused. Though either way the story is locked on pacifist.
