Traffic tickets from September 6 of this year show Louisiana State Trooper Daryl Thomas wrote a citation at 10:45 in the morning. But that's not possible - at the time Thomas says he wrote that ticket in St. Charles Parish, our undercover surveillance spotted his car about 40 minutes away, at his Harvey home.

Why would they. These trooper do not go into a office to check in so much of is on the honor system. What they need to do is have gps in the cars and making sure these people are actually doing the job. Cameras in the car would also help where soneone can just turn on in headquarters and see the trooper is in the car traveling. But there is something wrong with the police because any cop working 80 hours is not going to get enough rest to be safe on the street. Most deptment have limits on overtime just for this reason. But when you have one party in charge for 70 years you get a nice buddy buddy work set up and everyone covers for each other. The other guy who was in charge of these trooper were like he is such hard worker. Yea right. Obviously there system need to be updated and some of these cops need to spend years in jail and pay the money they stole back.

We have a crappy time clock setup at my job and even it has the ability to allow remote clock in/out and logs where you are when you clock in/out. It also has the ability to only allow clock in/out in specific zones. If my crappy job has a crappy setup that can do all that then I’m certain a taxpayer funded entity can put in place something similar but of higher quality. Plus I’m certain all those vehicles have gps and should be monitored for irregularities.

IF SUPERIORS ARE NOTIFYING SUBORDINATES ABOUT BEING INVESTIGATED FOR CRIMES SAYS ONLY ONE THING.....THEY ARE COMPLESANT AND ARE ALLOWING THESE CRIMES. STATES ATTORNEY GENERALS AND I.G.S SHOULD BE LOOKING INTO EVERY STATE IN THE NATION. IF ONE DEPARTMENT IS DOING IT THEN PROBABLY EVERY DEPARTMENT IS DOING THIS TOO. Thomas was sentenced to three years of active probation and will have to pay $9,369.86 in restitution and he gets his over inflated pension. Looks like crime does pay.

Backtrack his digital footprint from 20 years back. Compare to his time cards. Apply punishment. Do this for all government jobs. Who's job is it to enforce this? Who? Where are they? Do your dam job!

GPS PINGING should be on the officers in addition to the vehicles. Was this fraudulent overtime reimbursed? Then move to cover all public employees, including judges

Dude these cops should never require an external ticket writing policy to write tickets which is their main job function. It’s pretty sad. Great job with this investigation piece and for exposing these crooked cops.

Tax audit this corrupt cop! If he breaks the law with this payroll fraud, you know he's breaking the law in other ways. One can only assume this is department-wide corruption.

I know this is an old story, but why in the hell didn't they have gps in all vehicles. I worked for a small dump truck company during the same time frame & we had gps in all our trucks.

I can go on forever about this, the dirt goes from down. That guy that’s talking to the reporter is the biggest liar. He knows everything. Peace of shit

The old comment: You don't become a police officer for the money. State trooper: $71 an hour overtime. This guy's overtime couldn't paid for my entire mortgage. Worked in downtown Pittsburgh for many years and observed the police on a daily basis literally parked with his lights on on the highway, often times apparently asleep. If the plan is to draw awareness to the traffic and for safety, I can recommend a wonderful blue and red light bulb for $2 each.

Ok never mind we all know they’re stealing the overtime money…But what the fuck are they doing for their regular salaries to be 100,000 dollars??? Is that a normal cops salary these days???
